Participants in each workshop worked in groups at their own work stations with mason jars, spices, and water or vinegar as a preservative as they learn how to make their own pickles.
Big state science test today for 5th grade. My students are used to seeing my silly side. Ok... so are my friends. Oh, and also my family. Hee Hee! Just can't hide it.
We took Madrigal into our department's Baby Lab to be in her first experiment today! She did great!
She's wearing a NIRS cap - basically, there are little lights that shine into her skull and based on what reflects back to the sensors, they can tell how much oxygen different parts of the brain are consuming, which gives them a picture of which brain areas are most active!

NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam is a science centre that was founded in 1923 as the Museum of Labor by the painter Herman Heijenbrock, who wanted to share his enthusiasm for technology and industry.
The museum changed its name and location several times, and became the NEMO Science Museum in 2016. It is now housed in a building designed by Renzo Piano on the IJ river, and has five floors of hands-on science exhibitions.

The Science Center wasn't here in the Sixties. Neither was the underpass. In those days Cambridge Street was a surface road (as it still is today -- everywhere else). We crossed it at our own risk.

On behalf of iLearn STEAM Crew, I would like to congratulate the participants of the 6th Annual North Jersey Science Olympiad. This year’s 300 Olympians worked in 20 teams to complete 14 challenges in science, technology, engineering and problem solving. It was a wonderful tournament with full of energy and enthusiasm. The four highest scoring teams were awarded trophies and individual students received 1st to 6th place medals.
