Sapa (Vietnam) – Ce jour-là, dans cette ville des montagnes du Nord, le temps est pourri. Il pleut, il fait froid. Nous entrons dans un petit restaurant pour nous réchauffer avec l’espoir que, le temps d’un repas, la météo va s’améliorer. Illusion. J’avais remarqué le chien, pensant qu’il s’agissait d’un animal errant. Il est resté à cet endroit, plus d’une demi-heure, le regard fixé dans la même direction, alternant la position assise et debout. J’ai vite compris qu’il n’était pas abandonné, car trop bien nourri et qu’il attendait quelqu’un. Sa patience a été récompensée, car il s’est soudainement dressé sur ses pattes et s’est mis à frétiller. Une petite fille, âgée d’environ six ans, un cartable dans le dos, est arrivée, accompagnée de son grand-père. Elle a pris le chien par le cou et l’a embrassé avant d’entrer dans le restaurant, suivie par le chien qui l’a accompagnée joyeusement à l’étage où se trouvaient les appartements.

Sapa (Vietnam) – That day, in this town in the northern mountains, the weather was rotten. It was raining, it was cold, and around the lake there was a fog you could cut with a knife. We entered a small restaurant to warm up, hoping that, after a meal, the weather would improve. Illusion.
I had noticed this dog, which I had gently stroked on the head, thinking it was a stray. It had royally ignored me. For more than half an hour, it remained in that spot, staring in the same direction. Alternating between sitting and standing, nothing disturbed his attention. I quickly understood that the animal was not a stray—it was too well-fed, despite the lack of a collar—and that it was waiting for someone. Her patience was rewarded, as it suddenly stood up and began to wriggle. Ten seconds later, a little girl of about six years old arrived, carrying a schoolbag, accompanied by her grandfather. She took the dog by the neck and kissed it. The animal was very excited and made no secret of its joy. The little girl entered the restaurant, followed by the dog, which happily accompanied her upstairs to the apartments. It was only from the photos that I realized it was a female dog.

Mon cartable: je le traîne depuis de nombreuses années. Il porte les traces d'usure, les traces du temps, les éraflures et c'est sans doute ce qui le rend unique à mes yeux..
My schoolbag has been with me for long years. It bears the footprint of time, patina growing and scratches multiplying everyday. This is just what I like about it...
The sun is actually in our screens, which have replaced schoolbags and everything. It's all fenced by optical fiber. Billions died for that confort and the dark children go to school to watch at thousands of pictures of the flora before, animals and ancient emotions.
The relationships between the general population in Israel and the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community are always tensed: The general population feels the Ultra-Orthodox do not contribute enough (don't serve in the army, don't participate in the work force); while the Ultra-Orthodox feel their values (mainly studying, and worshiping the Lord) are not honored.
Naturally, things become even more tensed these days when the country is under a shutdown (#1 in the world, in the number of cases relative to the size of the population) while some Ultra-Orthodox think that praying together in a synagogue is more important than the regulations (The result is that though they are 10% of the population, they are about 30% of the cases, if not more).
I think that today was my worst day on flickr with respect to Bad Pandas :-(

This outfit was inspired by this photo of Tegan and Sara, which I think is just gorgeous. The whole shoot is great but I thought that shot was a standout. FYI, Sara is my favorite of the two, but Tegan's song Soil Soil is my current favorite on the new record (which is SENSATIONAL, you must get it).

Note about the dress: yesterday, I thought I'd lost it, and practically had a panic attack. GAH that would've been disastrous. Fortunately it was just hidden in my closet.

On the photo you can see my funny vision of last day of school (physical education). On the photo we can see female lion evil teacher that really enjoy to "torture" her pupil on the last day of school.
This teacher remind me a little of my elementary teacher, she didn't like boys pupil. I think school shoud learn us about creativity not to memorize some boring text (what is a purpose of that???). I think I loose 12 years in school + 5 year at university. I think I spend my best part of life sitting in a chair near school / university bench. I think school can be interesting if we change many things. I think if we stop with stupid memorizing exams than we can succeed.
Can you imagine subject in which children learn to play guitar, piano, keyboards but not for exam, or learn how to do good photos, learn how to mix music like a D.J. or girls can learn how to sew on machine, or how to cook nice food. In my vision of school exams will not exist or marks. I think it is stupidity to ask people or student on university to memorize book or books, that means that USB stick is smarter than a human because on USB stick we can put 1000 books without a problem. I don't understand why children at 21 century need to memorize multiplication table ??? Every cheap mobile phone have calculator.
In my photo I used my brother's pionir red book and pionir red star so photo have more retro look from 1980's (I was first generation that wasn't pionir). Big pen my family bought somewhere in the 1980's. Small Cap bag was mine from high school when I bought my school bag, small bag was attached as pendant. Small plastic ruler I found in my pencil box from elementary school. In my idea I also used pen eraser, pencil sharpener and protractor. I think I explain everything here ;o).
