Latrabjarg, Iceland.
Here is another puffin shot taken with my old crappy camera in Iceland many years ago. Latrabjarg is a 450 m high, very steep cliff and the puffins sat at the very edge. Walking was not safe because of the many rabbit holes and the risk of stumbling and falling down the cliff. So I lay down flat on my stomach and crawled to the edge. Then, lying prone with my hubby sitting on my legs to prevend me from dropping down, I watched the puffins and took the photos with my old 24-105 mm lens.
🇩🇪 Hier kommt noch ein altes Photo, aufgenommen vor vielen Jahren in Island. Latrabjarg ist eine 450 m hohe Steilklippe in den Westfjorden, und die Papageitaucher sitzen am äußersten Rand. Gehen war zu unsicher, denn der Boden war wie ein Schweizer Käse durchlöchert mit Kaninchenbauen - das Risiko zu stolpern und die Klippe herunterzufallen war viel zu groß. Also bin ich auf dem Bauch bis ganz nach vorne gerobbt, mein Mann saß auf meinen Beinen damit ich nicht über Bord ging, und dann habe ich mit meiner alten 24-105 mm Scherbe die Papageitaucher fotografiert.

I rarely upload pictures I took with my phone, but here, everything came out perfectly. I didn't really edit it much besides increasing contrast and adjusting the aspect ratio to 3:2.

There are many ways to photograph this special building, but I chose this composition in order to express its delicate slenderness and aspiring height.
Designed by Italian architect, Renzo Piano, The Shard is a 72-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London.
The architect was inspired by the railway lines next to the site, the London spires depicted by the 18th-century Venetian painter Canaletto, and the masts of sailing ships. Piano considered the slender, spire-like form of the tower a positive addition to the London skyline, recalling the church steeples featured in historic engravings of the city,
Of course, Piano's design met criticism from English Heritage, who claimed the building would be "a shard of glass through the heart of historic London", giving the building its name.... to the chagrin of these conservative critics. Piano knew that its presence would be far more delicate than opponents of the project alleged. Furthermore its expressive façades of angled glass panes intended to reflect sunlight and the sky above, such that the appearance of the building changes according to the weather and seasons.

Diese abgedeckten Scooter haben es als Abschluss meiner VorDomRunde in die Auswahl geschafft. Es gibt von dieser Runde tatsächlich auch brillante Bilder, selbst von mir, aber diese Drei passten von der Wirkung her einfach am besten!
DEU: In einer Kritik über das dieses Jahr erschienene Pentax 85/ 1.4 las ich, dass es sein einziger Fehler sei, dass man dafür eine Pentax-Kamera haben müsse.
