Wearing their as-delivered paint, the nifty GEs would have a successful career before being downgraded to stand-by and switcher status as newer power arrived.

Street and Reportage photography from Glasgow, Scotland. This was the Friday School Strike in George Square, Glasgow, as part of the climate change movement started by Greta Thunberg.
A hundred and more school children were engaged in good-natured chanting and singing in full voice directly opposite Glasgow City Hall, and guarded by a line of police officers who did not take too kindly to me walking in the road to get these shots (even though I was moving past stationary traffic).
Enjoy!
Viele wunderschöne alte Gebäude säumen das Flussufer der Moldau. Ich konnte meine Kamera nicht aus der Hand legen, dafür gabs einfach zu viel zu sehen.
Many beautiful old buildings line the river bank of Vltava. I could not put down my camera, but there was just too much to see.

I've been meaning to take some snaps of my own homestead for sometime and decided to do so for practice.
Another scene from the Sri Meenakshi Temple. The Keeper has I referred to him earlier is sweeping the area where offerings are made. Devotees have come to the temple to worship and to revere in the grand history of India.
The Window of the World is a theme park located in the western part of the city of Shenzhen in the People's Republic of China. It has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares.
The fence between us and our neighbour JP was flattened when an old tree broke in half
and fell on it. It was in rough shape all ready so it didn't take much. When we first moved here,
there was no fence at all, there were two lovely big hazelnut trees which straddled the
property line. It was quite lovely for about fifteen years, then we got a new neighbour,
whom I named "Shithead", long story ...and he cut down the trees and put up a fence.
All the remaining fencing is getting very old as are we, we have replaced our back and side
fences with our other neighbours. I don't think JP can afford new fencing and I don't care.
He is a collector of car stuff as are his kids. We get along, help each other, much more
important that new fences and manicured yards.
listening to Warren Zevon - "Don't Let Us Get Sick
Don't let us get sick, don't let us get old
Don't let us get stupid, all right?
Just make us be brave and make us play nice
And let us be together tonight
The moon has a face and it smiles on the lake
And causes the ripples in time

"In the Christian tradition, a nativity scene (also known as a manger scene, crib, crèche (/krɛʃ/ or /kreɪʃ/), or in Italian presepio or presepe, or Bethlehem) is the special exhibition, particularly during the Christmas season, of art objects representing the birth of Jesus.
While the term "nativity scene" may be used of any representation of the very common subject of the Nativity of Jesus in art, it has a more specialized sense referring to seasonal displays, in particular sets of individual sculptural figures and props that are arranged for display." - Wikipedia

The rubbish clear skies over the last 2 days have hardly been conducive for good photography, but the skis on the 12th of February were certainly more interesting, just a shame nothing exciting was happening locally to make the most of them. However, during a pleasant walk down to the canal, this popular scene overlooking the chandlers and dry dock was taken.

I took this in Ramsgate, on the south coast of South Africa at about 0600. It was shot on Velvia using a panorama camera and is one of my personal favourites.
