Sand-scape

Took this one on the back of a camel back in August 2022.

Minolta MD W.Rokkor 28mm f2.8 (if I recall correctly)

City Scape by the shore. My first photo in my new album "Life Through Its Sense". Everything is always better, nicer and more peaceful by the shore.

"Look Saskia, next July, we book ourselves two tickets to Gilroy and get you nominated as the Festival Queen. I'm sick and tired of hauling these things to the market year after year and not getting any real financial benefits. You win the competition, we splash your face all over People magazine and the likes and poof! We are living the high life. Wadda ya say... Saskia... hello, Sask, you there..."

These are called garlic scapes. I had a bunch of them and tried to find a composition. In the end they were all over the place and that's the way I left them.

Just something a little different because it's Friday.

Taken June 2014.

A recent birthday saw me gratefully receive a disc containing various sands and grit standing on a wooden block. So several days of play it became easier to control the flow of sands etc. in the wheel to construct random images. By placing a background card behind it and lighting the whole it was possible to create a series of random abstract images. Thanks Sue❤👍Great fun.

Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. It is defined by size, being finer than gravel and coarser than silt.

BackLit City Scape - in down town central business district. Pretty quiet but the late afternoon sun cast a back lit upon the art piece (rectangular in shape) on the far left, and the Tree and Shades are lit up literally.

Taken with Fuji XT3 with Voigtlander Heliar 15mm F4.5. Crop image.

I was looking for some new places in Toronto to get photos from, and came across this lookout point online. I cant believe there are still places like this in the neighborhood that I didn't know existed.

Trimmed and ready to be chopped, dehydrated, and ground into a powder. It's great mixed with butter for a gentle garlic flavour.

A. I like the detail in this picture. I also like how the picture looks like an "untouched" area. This picture is by far my favorite picture that I have shot this semester.

B.This picture was not edited very much. I played around with the levels and contracts.

C. High f-stop, because it was very bright from the snow.
