I decided to watch Bay to Breakers 2024 while my friends went on a completely separate 30+ mile run starting from Bolinas Ridge. There were far fewer naked people than the legends had me believe. Costumes tended to repeat as well.

I probably should have gone out with a longer lens. I ended up having to heavily crop many images. The people were just too far away most of the time. I needed to stand at the end of a slight bend in the road to get head on shots of people, but they were incredibly far away at that point.

Beautiful and serious. A little scared them, even when switched off :)))

My grandfather Ben - on my mother's side was a rock hound - that is - he liked to collect all kinds of rocks. Some he would polish and make into pendants and earrings for my grandmother Bessie.. Some he would simply keep and admire from time to time, no doubt marveling as I do at the wonder of nature that leaves things like this just laying in the ground, waiting for a sharp eye to see it and to appreciate it..

I'm forever picking things up as I walk along... rocks.. strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff... Dragons live forever, but not so little boys... Miss you Grandad..

An Industrial Scale Inhibitor with chrome plate finish.

My attempt at converting a 1/1600 scale model into a larger ship in 1/2500 scale . I'm using Adam Turner's rethink of the Starfleet Battles game design . Seek out his stuff on DeviantArt .

Surprisingly , the hull doesn't look far off . A bit shaved off the back and sides and the boom shortening brings it pretty close to Adam's design and in proportion to a 1/2500 D7 .

The boom has been planked in with the thickest plasticard I have , ready to file it into a squashed oval cone shape . I'll contour in the boom to the "ball" with Milliput filler and remove the old bridge triangle later .

Everything else is going to be built in plastic card , found objects and robbed from other kits .

Teaching fellows with South Carolina Afterschool Leaders Empowered (SCALE) visited Henderson Hopkins Elementary Middle School in Baltimore City to observe Summer Arts for Learning Academy (SALA). Additionally, after a tour of SALA, they had the opportunity to speak with graduates of the Bloomberg Arts Internship to learn about their experiences in the program and how they continue to be involved.
