The Pallikaranai marshlands is a unique place inside Chennai (now at least) where we can see some lovely migratory birds and resident birds. Large scale encroachment and abuse will soon ruin this ecosystem which is one of its kind.

Yeah, I know, I was afraid for Scarlett too. But Scarlett was an ugly person, and bad things happen to people who do ugly things. Kayley wasn’t thinking straight, imagining she’d take her guys and drive the tank through the walls. It just wasn’t feasible. I’m nuts and even I knew that. I’d heard Peter and Kayley arguing outside, she was shouting stuff at him for bringing prisoners back or something like that. But then Peter said that this half assed raid idea of hers would get them all killed, and the movement would die. I didn’t say anything when she came in here, but I could tell her eyes were red, and glistening.

The mystery was did it get in when the door was open a few days earlier or did it manage to squeak under the door? I don't think the latter is possible. there's a crack but not 1/4 inch high. Then there's also the possibility that there's a hole somewhere big enough for a mouse and our friend here found it. To open the door, one must stand where the snake's tail is, was a tense couple of moments, but all resolved satisfactorily.
