Southdown coaches by Oxford Diecast in 1/76th scale real fifties styling.

Spent more time messing around with panel lines then sprayed Alclad primer, various metallics over the leading edges and in blotches elsewhere.

After that a thin coat of hairspray, a pre-shade, and a topcoat of Royal Light Grey, then chipping.

My first real attempt at the HS technique - it's quite tricky!

My sister bought me this lovely old pair of miniature leather boots yesterday for just a pound each !

Back on the ghost horse :)

Painted much the same way as the Chainrasps but with a different cloth recipe using Mechanicus Standard Grey, Administratum Grey, Nuln Oil and Ulthuan Grey with some thinned Black for specific shading.

The hafts are a thin coat of Baneblade Brown with a wash of Athonian Camoshade, then rough edge highlights with Administratum Grey and a heavy wash of Nuln Oil.

The skulls are Zandri Dust and Ushabt Bone with an Agrax wash and then detailed washes/lining using an Agrax/Abaddon Black lining mix.

Bases next and whatever stuff I've forgotten.

Pete Culos, Oil on canvas. MFCA 2014. May9

Added some more traditional weathering with washes, and put it on the bike's base. I ended up adding a bit more oil and grease, and a sticker, but I don't have a nice close-up of the final version yet.

I've not forgotten this guy - a few more rivets and details, and he'll be ready for paint

Still many copies left of the 250 books i had printed. If you are interested in a copy let me know. It is a collection of 10 years of information about these classic trucks.
