(Jali, inside the Red Fort in Delhi, India.)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jali

The Khas Mahal was the imperial residence of the emperor Shah Jahan in the Red Fort or Lal Qila at Delhi, built between 1639 and 1648. The screen is suspended over the central water channel that runs through the apartments. The upper semi-circular panel depicts a crescent moon, stars and the scales of justice, the latter used as a regal emblem. The lower section is carved in an intricate floral and lattice work design.

One of the smallest (and most beautiful) woodpeckers in Colombia.

Awe's original design was quite close to the 1:40 scale I build most of my minifig-scale models in, so it worked out great. It's for sure one of the best MiG-21 models in Lego, so go check it out on his photostream!

I love this scale with its Toledo equipment

This is a very rare PFM Crown model in HO scale. This represents one of only twenty five models made in the first run (1958). Made under the United Models name plate, the premier Japanese maker, Toby Models, made these semi-hand made models to extreme precision and high quality. For it's time, this was one of the top of the line models. Stamped #10 on the left side of the rear frame rail, this model has many features that the subsequent runs did not have (or, where in various stages of these features). Highly detailed cab interior for one. Other details which point to the run year is the hand built train control box mounted on the boiler, the absence of window sashes (all of the following runs had window sashes), a single generator (although two later runs had a single generator, this combination of details gives it away as the 1958 model.

A cover version of Dave Roberts recent creations.

Can not do justice to the bold color selection he is known for but I wanted to do a roughly Blacktronized version and the other with colors I had on hand.

I'm currently working on a Cafe-Corner scale building, and I've been building some furniture for it. Unfortunately, I haven't been thinking clearly about the scale - this furniture takes up half the room. I need to be thinking and building smaller.

L to R: refrigerator, big screen tv, stereo console

The refrigerator doesn't have a back, and it has a piece of tape on top of it. The tape isn't holding it together, it's holding it together better.

Cappella Bizantina

waage libra scales

I've been wanting to take pictures of my teeny tiny Silverbeam ponies for a while now :) they are perfectly 1:4 scaled. I hope the colors on these turned out okay, I edited them on my laptop and its a color gank :/

These scale where a gift for My Husband Ian for Father's day, another good find, I believe these scale were used to measure out medicine back in the day.

Seen in the neighborhood.

I never realized how many interesting buildings and views there are in the town I live in until I seriously started to scout around for backgrounds.

The one thing I have to do is wait until the shops close so there aren't any cars or trucks mixing in with the Elgin Park vibe.

Usually early in the morning or on the weekends is the best time.

The Holidays, though, are great because everyone leaves town so the streets tend to be empty.

When I was young, I would purposely take walks by way of short cuts and back alleys to avoid seeing people. It gave me the impression that I was the only person around.

But I must add here, I liked the fact that I could walk by an open window and hear a radio or a muted conversation, or off in the distance I could hear a train rolling by.

How interesting that decades later I would be photographing such scenes.

I know, I know, perhaps I should see a therapist. Actually I did but there were no inroads made on this particular subject.

Just think, if there were, Elgin Park might not exist!

Now that's a scary thought.
