I love the pattern these pine cone scales make! From Wikipedia ~ The members of the pine family (pines,
spruces, firs, cedars, larches, etc.) have cones that are imbricate (that is, with scales overlapping each other
like fish scales). These are the "archetypal" cones. The scales are spirally arranged in fibonacci number ratios.

Designed and folded by Chad Killeen from one uncut square of 26" american foil. The design is the same as the my other version except this one has a new head design.
Yay! After many hours of precreasing and scale folding, I finished this much more presentable version of my scaled wyvern. I came up with the new head because I was told by a couple of people at OUSA that they felt the head appeared a bit too small, so I modified it a little so the head would be slightly larger.

My kitchen scales didn't work so I thought they needed new batteries. The label says "Child Resistant Package" and it certainly is. With kitchen scissors and my pocket knife, I managed to get the batteries out … and the scales work now 😀

Happy Feathery Friday!
Forgot about that....
No I did not use the flood tool to achieve this. This actually was shot in bright sunlight, and brought way down on the brightness scale...and there you go...you have this as the result.

The first horse I produced in resin decorated 16 years ago, this is a remake of the first horse I made, the real horse still lives and the owner asked me to do it again because he wants to have an original, nobody knows who owns the horse signed as the number 1 of my production. This model has already been discontinued for many years, this was a special request
