In years gone by, people would give their own weight in gold, food, etc, but climbing on the scales and pouring their riches onto the other side.

Luana needs a new faceup so I felt I could practise giving her scales. I used perfect pearls under liquid glass which gives a subtle green shimmer effect. I felt it was too subtle so I tried various ways of adding more but didn't get a satisfactory outcome. But I learnt that matte varnish over the top makes it look like a painful skin condition so the best way will probably be to lay down a significant amount of perfect pearl, scale, then leave it.
I also toyed with the idea of giving her a scar. It's more like a really ugly scab right now which, yeah, cool I guess, but not what I was going for!
