Assignment 6 - Scale. I had to hide a treat under the little dog to get Joe's attention.

Mostly farm house shabby chic, just ignore that one 'classy' poster of a lady with a baked potato snatch

Fifty-five Greenpeace volunteers have this afternoon scaled the walls of the Houses of Parliament and are now occupying the roof of the historic building. They are calling for a new style of politics in Britain, one capable of rising to meet the challenge of climate change.

The figure is tiny! And I hope Spidey is wearing a cup.

Went with Testors "Ford Grabber Orange" paint and about 4 coats of clear polished.

Added the antenna and plug wires. Also scratch made the air intake hoses. Also lowered the stance a bit as well.

I created this from a photo I took of a vintage scale at my aunt's shop, located between Lovilia & Albia, Iowa. It's full of awesome stuff.

Scale and office of the Smoky Valley Roller Mill at Old Mill Park in Lindsborg Kansas. The scale on the right was used to weigh grain and the mill office was to the left of the scale.

Built in 1898 and was in operation until the 1950's. It was restored to full working order in 1981. Instead of using stones to grind grain this mill used a series of corrugated steel rollers. This type of mill became known as the "grand daddy of the modern mill" and was important with the introduction of hard winter wheat in the 1870's. It took 4-6 people to operate the mill.

National Register #72001451. Added in 1972.

2005 marked the birth of the Axial brand, and shortly after, thoughts about the first SCX10 began, with development wrapping up in 2008. The SCX10 was introduced to the world as a builders kit, paving the way, or better yet, raising the bar for a new generation of scale trail enthusiasts. Previously, hobbyists had to “scratch build” a rig which presented a lot of technical hurdles to overcome. The SCX10 kit gave these “artists” time to focus their attention on other things like personalization and visual customization by removing the issues scratch-built scale rigs presented. And, it wasn’t just as a great kit to build, it was also a very capable driving machine, making it the de facto scale rig the world over. The SCX10 chassis platform provided all the technical attributes as well as scale looks with its signature all-metal twin c-channel frame, solid performing transmission and axles that provided enough realism with capabilities to match.

With the SCX10 II, we’ve kept essence of the SCX10 there with all-metal twin c-channel frame rails, but that’s only 2% of the 98% of a completely new design. Scale AR44 high pinion axles, a chassis mounted servo (CMS), re-designed transmission, front mounted battery tray, all aluminum suspension links, and a properly designed suspension for nearly zero bump steer. These are just a few of the features built into the all new SCX10 II.
