Test roll of some expired UC100.
Hit the bingo of failures: Lost a frame to uncocked shutter, some (bad) underexposures, some motion blur, some missed focus, a couple TLR framing mishaps, some bowing film during scans.
Well, they can't all be winners?
The scaffolders have finished their work in Tilgate and the refurbishment can begin.
(Notice the tv dishes which have been re-erected on the scaffolding poles :)

If you can't get up onto the scaffolding, then how are you supposed to complete it? (Don't ask me - I don't 'do' scaffolding.)
With the refurbishment coming along the workmen have opened out the old drying rooms. These are areas on each floor set aside for the drying of Laundry. Each one has a large shelved cabinet with vented shelves and a big electric heater in the base with a ventilation grille at the top. These are original to the building and have somehow survived the 1982 refurbishment completely untouched. The original heater, switches, instruction notices and light fittings are intact in the one I was let in to. Sadly all of these features are to be completely gutted so I felt that it was only right to preserve some record of what was there.
This is a construction site, some forty stories tall probably, entirely encased within a shell of bamboo scaffolding and covered in green netting. That's a little walkway across the outside there, maybe sixteen stories up (I was taking this from the eighteenth floor hotel window).

after meeting up with some friends in paris for a few drinks and dinner, we went to see the eiffel tower at night. such a beautiful site with all of the twinkling lights, it was one of the most beautiful man made objects i had ever seen. this is part of the scaffolding looking straight up.

Found while trying to find the Cambridge Centre for the Arts where the Raku demo and exhibition was.
While refurbishing a building, they sometimes cover the scaffolding with a cloth painted with the building, such as here.
They had a huge ramp at the dock for driving things up to the top level of the ferry - there were a lot of wood and metal beams all mixed together!
