In the city on the bay, there is a presence that leaves it's remanence each day, yet the dwellers of the city, just watch.
Pentax K1000 - Ektar 100 - The Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Gregory Bald - The sunrise did not disappoint.
This scrappy juvenile was very bold. If you saw his profile, you'd see that he is molting...that awkward teenage stage. This perspective is a little more complimentary.

Pentax K1000 - Ektar 100 - The Great Smoky Mountains National Park - I read this on Wikipedia: "The name "Gregory Bald" was given to the mountain by Cades Cove residents in honor of Russell Gregory (1795–1864), a prominent Cades Cove settler. He and two other settlers made a deal to each take 1/3 of the land to live upon. Gregory used the mountain to graze cattle during the spring and summer, when the fields in the cove were needed for growing crops. He lived atop the mountain during this part of the year in a circular stone house near the mountain's summit (the house is no longer standing). Gregory, who (like most Cades Covers) supported the Union during the American Civil War, was murdered by a Confederate soldier in 1864 while trying to protect his cattle and land. His grave bears the legend "Murdered by North Carolina rebels"."

I'm not used to produce creative images, where postproduction is needful to achieve the expected result. Anyway I'm particularly concerned about the climate change and pollution related topics, and this shot talks about the fundamental, impressive role of human being in deciding the destiny of our only Planet. The same hands that polluted our Mother Earth could still hopefully work for healing our Planet.

A lone hippopotamus emerges from the shimmering waters of Botswana’s Okavango, its massive head glistening in the morning light. This tranquil moment captures the quiet strength and dignified presence of one of Africa’s most iconic creatures in its natural aquatic domain.

The sea has been known to harbor it's belongings, but when there is an abundance, it may leave something special on the shore.
couple of nice Walruses in the Arctic's waters.
All the Arctic Ocean is endangered by the greed of powerful oil companies and states that want to see the polar ice melt for their commercial interests. All this beautiful landscapes and wildlife will soon disappear.
Pentax K1000 - Ektar 100 - The Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Gregory Bald ..."The Cherokee name for Gregory Bald was "Tsistu'yi," or "Rabbit Place." According to tribal lore, the chief of all rabbits— known simply as the Great Rabbit— lived at the summit. The rabbit, considered by the Cherokee to be sly and mischievous, was a key figure in tribal legends, showing the importance the tribe placed upon the mountain."
Pentax K1000 - Ilford XP2 Super 400 - Biking along the Ohio River. I've been working on this roll of film since December, 2020. It took a while but I'm happy with the results.
I captured this scene last summer when a patch of wildflowers had grown in a nearby field. I was keen to get as blurred a summer colours background as possible and was happy with the result. I decided to share this now as there is a definite sense in Sussex of late that spring is finally with us!

Pentax K1000 - Ektar 100 - My backyard dogwood became a good friend this spring. I watched the flowers bloom and fall. I watched the sun shine through it's pink flowers. This tree helped me focus on the present moment and to be grateful for all that I have.
