Gimme some sugar Baby.
An outtake from yesterday. It's finally Halloween! I've got pumpkin cream cheese squares to make, silly movies to watch, a zombie board game to play, and costumes to assemble. See ya later Flickr peeps!
Pink for the Cure, bokeh style :))
My first, and hopefully not last, dippy with my coolest awesomest bestie, Mandey. Ch-Ch-Check her out! :))
Breast Cancer, any cancer, is horrible! Breast cancer runs very strong in both sides of my family so I'm very proactive and take it very seriously! Even if it doesn't run in your family, feel your boobies!!! You can never be too safe! Cancer does not discriminate. October is breast cancer awareness month! Donate, run, walk, or photograph for the cure :)) And pray!
Pinktober...While the majority of people believe that Breast Cancer is a pink ribbon, that Pinktober, Breast Cancer Awareness month is about throwing pink events for mostly women with two boobs, without scars…. Raising money for charity ….
Events and logos like: Save the Tatas, no bra day with a bunch of nipples poking out in no way supports those with Breast Cancer.
Sadly the money collected has not done any good in Breast Cancer Research yet …..in 25 years.... paying for this research makes you think you are but you are not being part of the cure, you’re just throwing your money away to propaganda.
We are showed models with fake scars, beautiful bodies and breasts with the strap so perfectly dangling from her shoulder.
That is not what breast cancer is about – it is about, surgeries, amputations, biopsies, MRIs, X-rays, radiation, chemo, IVs, blood tests, fear, worry, hate, anger, confusion, sadness, loneliness, medications, checkups, anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain.
They are not trying to fight the cure. Most of their funding goes to advertisement, 6 figure CEO salaries.
As a patient once stated on the social media; “We do not receive free boob jobs. We have reconstruction. Expanders placed to stretch your skin to fit the implants, complications, tram flap surgeries, sometimes our bodies reject the implants, some choose to go flat, some reconstructions are amazing and look fabulous, some look completely deformed. However, in no way did any of us receive a free boob job. We amputated them and had foreign objects placed in our skin to resembles the breasts we once had. We tattoo our nipples on, we get prosthetic ones, or we go without. But none of it was free.”
Pink isn’t pretty, it’s not a ribbon – Think before you pink! Do something small scale local, be there for ones with (breast) cancer in your life that need love and attention! And it has not to be October for that ;) ♥

La France is a vintage shop in Ybor City Tampa that has amazing clothes and this amazing display year-round. Makes me want to start a string of bras stretching throughout my neighborhood and beyond.
Inspired by Staci to go pink for a week in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month (NBCAM). I just happen to have pink roses in the house.
I will do my best to keep it pink this week and invite others to join. Thanks Staci for this wonderful challenge to help bring awareness to the cause.
Submitting this to the flower cliche scavenger hunt.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Save the tatas. Breast Cancer Awareness month is coming to an end. Don't forget to check your girls.
Why are my lips covered with sugar sprinkles? It's Cliche Saturday! Happy Saturday everyone:)

Happy Bench Monday! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am dedicating this photo to my sister in law Laura who is battling breast cancer and countless others who have fought, survived or lost someone to breast cancer! I did in fact have my tatas compressed in the making of this shot!~ OUCH! The sign in the office said, "We Compress because We Care" I realize I am not standing on the bench but you get the point!!! HBM!

For =Tom='s mega FGR challenge... because it is his last day and I love him tooooooooooooooo!
FGR hoops for today:
Three testimonials:
Emily - as the creative, candid inspiration she is
Maitexu - hmm, tried to write you one but think your testimonial receiving machine may actually be full! (and doesn't that say it all)
=Tom= 'cos he is a complete star!
Six groups:
1. FGR :)
2. Happy Sundays: who wouldn't be happy with a bra on their head?!
3. Funny faces: need I explain?
4. Ugly underwear club: well, isn't that obvious and... see next entry
5. Presents gone wrong: well, here's the twist, the underwear IS the present gone wrong. My loving partner, filled with good intentions (but without me knowing) told his mother how hard it is for me to find nice, fitting bras ('cos I am so flat chested) but that I found lots of nice ones in Hong Kong, presumably 'cos it is a more common issue over there. a) it mortifies that he would tell that to my mother in law - I don't have that kind of relationship with her and b) when she went to Hong Kong, she went out and bought about 5 bras for me (in my super-tiny size). Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, that is too embarrassing. And as it happens this one was way too plain for me to want to wear it ever, anyway. Bless her heart!
6. (Five) Things you might not know about me:
- I am extremely flat chested and used to cry when going to lingerie shops 'cos I love lingerie so much but the pretty stuff I was dreaming would make me look sexy just didn't come in my size or it made me look and feel stupid!... but it is okay, I have found my peace with my tiny tatas, now, and those who matter seem to like them. Edit: you'll notice I didn't play the 'save the tatas game' 'cos didn't want to draw attention to that part of myself... but seeing Tom take the plunge and expose himself gave me the courage to give it a try, too. Woohoo!
- I once had a butter fight. You know kinda like a water fight, but with butter. We ran all over the college halls, hid in closets to out fox each other (it was just me and my best girl friend) and it lasted for ages and we were very gunky at the end.
- I ate peanut butter and jam muffins for lunch today. I like debaucherous, no cooking, kiddie-home-alone type meals. They make me feel young!
- I am a healer, bonafide can see auras and past lives type of healer.
- I love being barefoot and think shoes, roads, gravel and anything anti-barefeet should be banned. I still walk around barefoot whenever I can including in London, in pooring rain, dodging cars and walking through puddles... oh, hippies!
- Bonus fact ('cos I think the last one was a bit weak): I bought special gluten and dairy free chocolate chip cookies for a friend struggling with allergies and then ate them all on the bus on the way up to see her. I wish I could say that was the only time I did that kind of thing... And the funniest thing is that I always confess as soon as I see them!
Texture by the oh so talented ghostbones.
PS and I continue to work on my portfolio of facial expressions for .Sandhu =)

FEC Breast Cancer Awareness GP40-2 #425 "Pink Lady" is taking a cut of NS coal with rock empties and GP40-2 #412 bringing up the rear to Medley as the "Medley Lead Job". Pure luck here.
Because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here are my bewbies. I'm actually copying a shot I saw in a magazine this morning in my dentist's office. That was just before she started drilling, hacking, and generally mucking things up WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. At one point she got her matrix stuck between my teeth and it took her and an assistant 10 minutes of both of them gripping it, putting their feet up on my chair and yanking. They had to hold pressure to stop the bleeding for 5 minutes after! It all started with, I'll just start and if you need to be numbed up you let me know...urg!
Bye Summer! Bye Tan Lines! Bye little gap between my teeth that used to be a favorite hangout of my foodstuffs! Someday I hope we'll be saying Bye Breast Cancer. Everyone go and kiss your favorite set of bewbies right now to make sure they know they're appreciated! Tell 'em Jess sent ya!
Just had to share this one...The 3 Day Breast Cancer walk was this past weekend in San Diego. My friends and I got together and came up with this idea to show our support. We stationed the dogs about 4 miles from the finish, on the final day of the walk. Everyone was exhausted, but as soon as they saw the dogs they lit up with joy and a huge smile would plaster their faces. It was so much fun, and the dogs were absolutely fabulous! Can't wait to go back again next year!

MAINSTORE
i am a MASSIVELY huge supporter of all things research. I am a scientist by training (soon to be DR. scientist :), and I firmly believe that the world's ills can be cured if we study hard enough.
I support any kind of research studying diseases especially. One of my biggest complaints about Bush (one of the many) is that he is stomping on research that could save the world (stem cell research). He's also supported funding cuts for research in the natural sciences (such as psychology and sociology). Unfortunately, that attitude that certain research is morally wrong or that the human sciences don't get us anywhere is killer.
For instance, the TX legislature has several senators who are pushing for funding cuts for all things psychology because studying things like "love" is just "stupid". The problem is that many people murder over "love" or other such insanities. Divorce is high in this country. How are we supposed to help if we don't study it?
I'm equally inspired by companies that pick up funding research as hip. Gap currently is working with funding AIDS research and education for Africa. I'm not into the "it's hip" part, but whatever will get people interested I am into. If it creates awareness, so be it. I think the "save the tatas" shirts are hilarious, and a great way to create awareness about breast cancer research. I think more should be done in fields other than cancer, such as MS or muscular dystrophy, two disease we know next to NOTHING about, much less how to cure them.
To be cliche, it's our world. We are the only ones who can save it.
It's that time again. As evident from the many pink, and boob-filled photos on Flickr. I had my first mammogram last October. They found something. I had an ultrasound and a needle biopsy as a result of the mammogram. I have a little marker, or chip, inside of my left boob. I also have a dime-sized scar that I will have for the rest of my life due to complications from the needle biopsy. I don't mind at all, because it turns out that I am fine. For now. Because my Mama had breast cancer, I am high risk. I have to be examined every 6 months and I have to have a mammogram every year. All of this because I went in for a voluntary mammogram last October. Just do it. You never know.
A tongue-in-cheek play on words displayed by the Merill Lynch-sponsored dressage musical quadrille freestyle team during their performance ending salute at the annual 2015 Challenge of the Americas (COTA) breast cancer charity horse show event in Wellington Florida.
Now in it's twelve year, COTA raises money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation charity and is held at the International Polo Club. The show has two parts. First is a grand-prix show jumping competition where riders win for the charity increasing monetary prizes donated by sponsors, the higher the jumps that they and their horses can successfully clear.
The second part of the show is a handful of dressage musical quadrille freestyle performances, by teams each of various levels of experience. Again sponsored by organizations mentioned in the team names. All riders of course wearing some form of pink, which is the international symbol for breast cancer awareness.
To keep the show fresh, riders from this team display different words each year. In previous years they have spelled out: "THINK PINK", and my favorite: "SAVE THE TATAS".
For more information about the event:
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I originally did not want to do this pics cuz this year breast cancer hit close personally. I lost my grandmother to cancer 17 years ago. I lost a co-worker to breast cancer 5 years ago. This year, my dear friend Luz is fighting it tooth and nail as we speak. She was diagnosed last March of this year. She had lymph nodes surgery and biopsy last June. I was with her before they wheeled her to the OR. She is currently undergoing chemo twice a week. She has lost her hair and appetite. But she continue to stay strong and positive. I always tell her that she gives Halle Berry a run for her money with her stylish wig. She is in my thoughts and prayers constanly. I wish I can do more than support the cause financially and actively. But as my friend told me, just being there is enough.......
Today is the Boobie-Thon 2009 Kick-of...hence the "kicks" in this shot.
IF you can, donate to the cause, if you can't, take a photo and load it up to the site.
Submit a photo or donation here.
Thanks for playing today.
See this is what happens when you get behind. I waited to wear my new tee shirt till the end of the month so I could try to do something fun and creative. I ran out of time and posted it late! Oh well. I've been so excited about October and it being breast cancer awareness month. I hope after these past 30 days it doesn't just forgotten but we'll see. Cancer sucks in general. Here's a giggle before I go to work. Save the tatas!
For Boobiethon 2010, and for my friend Kristen, who had a double mastectomy two days ago. And many others fighting the battle, and to the families of those who we lost.
Consider giving to the Boobie-thon .
And in keeping with the Fall theme.
I wear pink a lot to show my support for BCA month. I think 🤔 I LQQK good 👍 in this T-shirt what do you think 🤔??
Today, I was bored. When I'm preparing for my day, I tend to walk around with a pair of jeans (or whatever bottoms I plan on wearing that day) and my bra. Well, I had an inspiration to put a twist on my favorite breast cancer slogan. Since my grandmother was diagnosed last month, I felt that it was necessary to put something "breast cancer-ey" in my 365 somewhereee. So, today's the day.
