Various UNFI-supported independent retailers in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area collectively operate and advertise under the SHOP ‘n SAVE banner.
This location on Library Road in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania is owned by the Duritza family.
While inherited from SUPERVALU, the Pittsburgh-area SHOP ‘n SAVE stores operated separately from the defunct Shop ‘n Save chain in the St. Louis, Missouri area, which was directly owned and operated by SUPERVALU.
Unrelated to the independent retailers supplied by Hannaford in New England.

The city of Copenhagen has announced that forty bunkers around Copenhagen will be flattened. Among them the precious ones by Queen Louises Bridge, and the hilly landscape. These spots are popular BECAUSE of the hills, and the buffer they make from the roaring traffic on the other side. Not to mention how they break the wind. If the bunkers go, so will all the old trees. Yes, new ones will be planted, like the twig you spot behind the Nile statue. Is this in the best interest of Copenhagen? Really?

In 2014, some of us are lucky enough to be able to travel to Africa and Asia to see them in the wild. In 2024, when our children have grown up, will they still be able to see wild rhinos? Rhinos have been an important part of a wide range of ecosystems for millions of years; we must not let them extinct.
Poachers kill rhinos for the price they can get for the horns; land encroachment, illegal logging and pollution are destroying their habitat; and political conflicts adversely affect conservation programmes.
"They need our help. The very species that can save them is also killing them"
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Report any suspicious activity to the authorities, if you suspect someone is selling/buying rhino horn products.
Donate towards much-needed anti-poaching equipment and support
Spread the word! Share this page on your social networking site to make other people aware of the problems

This was taken in Omaha on my recent weekend trip. Part of a group of pioneer statues that stretches over several city blocks. depicting the Mormon trail as it moved through the wilderness on its trek westward.
It starts with a wagon train , with several wagons pulled by ox,donkeys and horses, with scouts , pioneers walking with children and babies in tow. One wagon stuck in mud being pushed out of the ruts. , then you come apon a herd of buffalo that has been frightened running here and there, through the corners of buildings , follow their race a couple blocks you come apon a fountain with a flock of wild geese that have been frightened to take flight, they fly through a intersection , some on light posts, one through a corner of a building and ending in this atrium .
