Day 19 of an Unknown Number

"Translum"

Today's image features a recent purchase. In front of our subject hangs a roll of Translum. It is simply a piece of diffusion in the form of thin, frosted plastic. It can be used as diffusion, a backdrop, and for silhouettes. I decided to test out the silhouette option....wishing to hide the subject . There is a bare strobe behind our model, and he is almost pressed up against the plastic. The closer the subject is to the material, the sharper the image. This is a multiple exposure, and I turned my head both directions after taking one exposure while facing forward. I can envision a multitude of uses for the material, and have just begun to experiment. What about a large hairdo? What about for nudes? Who knows? Thanks for passing through!!
