This delicate Sascha Brastoff Chantilly pattern cup and saucer set features a textured border with a platinum/gold band. Sascha Brastoff was an iconic mid century designer who had a ceramics studio and was active in the Los Angeles area from 1947-1963.
I met Sascha in the heart of downtown Ipswich, Westgate Street, not far from M&S. She told me she is from Ipswich but she has moved away to Bristol where she works in retail while studying to teach English as a foreign language. She was back in Ipswich to visit her relations. I sometimes have difficulty getting my camera's Auto Focus to lock on to my strangers eyes, but Sascha was bright-eyed enough to cause no such problems.
If you see this photo Sascha, I hope you like it. Thanks for being part of my 100 Strangers project.
