Sapphire-spangled Emeralds frequent rainforest edges, humid or gallery forests, second growth, clearings, orchards, and gardens. Males defend flower territories and are rather diverse in their flower preferences. These emeralds can be difficult to identify in the field: they are mostly olive-green above with whitish middle and lower underparts. In favorable lighting, their throats sparkle with violet-blue. Birds of the world.

Often I find the other side of my origami tessellation also worthy to be treated like a frontside and having an own name, so let me introduce you to "Sapphire", the other side of Diamond.
Here you can see a more closer look of this pattern

There is no better color on the Cayman GT4 in my opinion. This beauty was collected today by a friend and his dad. I can't wait to go for a ride in it and get some more photos.

A coastal island town, forgotten and remembered. Full of life and yet abandoned. Preserved history and growing future. This was created as a gift for Sapphire. Everyone is welcome, supernatural, furry, children and people friendly! Come and swim!

Still stuck in Yellowstone in Winter 2010 - This is the Sapphire Pool, Biscuit Basin.
What a blast to the past. I must have had 25-30 dust spots on this image. I'd mostly forgotten about that annoying phenomenon. Being more into wildlife only now, I shoot a lot more wide open than at those high f/ numbers for 'scapes, so dust isn't so apparent, and of course auto sensor cleaning is probably way more effective than it used to be. I do still occasionally have to resort to "manual" sensor cleaning, not very often. Ah, the memories.

“Indigo, the deep blue contains an abundance of sapphires shining their light through the density, awakening and stirring our consciousness. In the daylight the sea will change, but for now it remains mysterious, obtainable through our imagination.”
