It has been forever since I have posted. Not that I have not been shooting, I have just had life take up way too much of my free time! Some good, some sad, but isn't that what life is?
Tonight's sunset down at the river.
The sky came alive here tonight. Between the lenticular cloud over Mount Hood and the sunset, it was a good day to take pictures. : )
The intention here is to capture the subtle colors of the sunset reflected by the clay of the dry riverbed.
I decided to head to the river for a sunset tonight. I was glad I did.

Tonight's sunset on the Upper Sandy River. This is my usual spot, the place where Sadie, Betty and I walk to almost every day. I'm pretty lucky that, even when I'm too lazy to leave the neighborhood, I can still snap a shot of a beautiful scene. I love my neighborhood. : )

We had a great sunrise burn while we visited Oregon this fall trip. This was taken from Jonsrud Viewpoint and the Sandy River Valley. The sunrise burn was forecasted by Yiupai" sunrise Forecast Service.
Actually this should be take one. A shot taken a little earlier than the prior Jonsrud post. I haven't been shooting in almost over 2 weeks. Makes me feel weird! Hopefully I make an effort to reserve some time to get out, with the rain and grayness that's encompassed us in the last few weeks, it makes me lazy and just want to drink hot cocoa. Thanks for the views and comments!
I'm so bummed out that I didn't get down to shoot tonight's sunset that I can't sleep. I figured that I would post this one from about a month or so ago.

It was a sweet, sweet show tonight. I hope that my fellow PNW Photogs grabbed a shot or two of it.
Before anyone asks... This is not HDR. This is two exposures. One for the water and one for the sky. Layered, shaken and blended for your viewing pleasure. : )
