After a cloudy day, the sun came out in the late afternoon. The lighting was not too bad.

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” Don McCullin (1935)

I love a good sunrise (or sunset)!

Some sunsets are just a little more amazing.

The tallgrass prarie is pretty amazing... grass growing taller than me!

Found this in the old photo archives.

enjoying some late afternoon sun. Driving home from work, the light was pretty good, so I took a small detour for some pictures of the rural countryside.

Always wanting to get the best photo, I found myself a bit closer than I should have been. The rocks were very slippery, and I almost lost my footing.

A perk of riding my bike along this trail is being able to enjoy all the flowers growing alongside the trail this time of year. Didn't realize that a little critter was there to photobomb my flower pic until I saw it on the computer!

This is what -9 degrees (-23 c) looks like. I didn't spend a lot of time standing along the railroad tracks to get this photo. Point & shoot - and get back inside!

HBM... and if you come back and look at this later this week, give yourself a HFF!

I initially had no intention of uploading this photo (taken with the camera on my cell phone), but a good friend encouraged me to upload it, so for her, here it is. Funny thing, most of the shots I got with my camera turned out to be slightly out of focus (I hate that!), so this was actually one of the better pics from the evening. But regardless, I enjoy the hunt for the perfect photo, even if it is elusive.

One of the reasons I enjoy spending some time at Laguna Beach when I visit California is the chance to see the tide pools there. So interesting!

Elkhart river, Dunlap Indiana - a fun little river for canoeing.

farblich erinnert es mich an die Winterlandschaften von Brueghel - der Kontrast entsteht auch aus der Architektur - hier stoßen drei Welten aufeinander - Wohnhäuser, Gewerbe-Bauten und Gartenhäuser.

The mountains near Willwood Dam in Powell have three caves.

As can be seen by the people standing along the cliffs, this is not a place to find solitude (it's in San Diego). Still definitely worth a visit!

With bright clear skies and little wind, the reflections were great this afternoon. I took a photo from about this same location 4 weeks ago, and the comparison shoes fall is definitely here. www.flickr.com/photos/123895834@N08/15054193869/
