Among some of the funkier artifacts the OSU archive houses, we have original sewing samples from the 1906-1907 school year. These samples would have been passed around and emphasis would have been put on the evenness of every stitch, something we can marvel over today as they appear to be hand done and not made by a machine. That button hole and frills that may seem intricate to us, back then were basic sewing staples.
