Found at LB about 15 years ago. It is just up for display at my house. I loaded it with devices so from left to right: Leviton clear handle dimmer, Slater Medalist hospital grade single, Hubbell crowfoot/t-slot duplex, Sierra triplex receptacle, AH&H push button switch, AH&H toggle, GE Red block-style single receptacle, P&S Nightlight GFCI (first gen), Leviton Single despard-style receptacle, P&S Despard jewel light and toggle, P&S Despard keyed toggle, radio outlet and push button switch. I never saw anything like this plate before but I'm guessing it was used to display wallplate possibilities and combinations.
IAEA marine experts and Japanese scientists collect water samples in coastal waters near the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Since the accident at the plant in March 2011, the Japanese authorities have been continually monitoring the levels of radioactivity in sea water and publishing the results. In an effort to verify the accuracy of these results and increase public confidence in what is being reported, the IAEA is undertaking joint sampling missions. The water samples were shared between the IAEA Environment Laboratories and Japanese laboratories. They will be analysed independently and the results will be compared to check the quality of the analyses and document the reliability of data.

On April 20, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon Drilling Platform exploded and sank, causing an enormous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. U.S. Geological Survey field offices responded immediately by organizing teams to take pre-spill sediment and water samples in order to establish a baseline survey. This baseline will be used to determine the scope and impact of the oil spill. Alabama scientist Will Mooty contributes to this baseline by taking sediment and water samples at Gulf Shores Beach in Alabama.

In 1941, Sample's Shipyard built wooden warships for the U.S. Government. By the end of World War II, Sample's had launched twelve 136' minesweepers and six 165' salvage tugboats. In 1958, the government commissioned three 145' minesweepers, four 171' minesweepers and twelve 63' aircraft rescue boats.
Our story begins in 1869 during the economic boom accompanying the Industrial Revolution. Originally the Townsend Marine Railway, the shipyard was subsequently renamed the Atlantic Coast Company in 1917 and turned out six four-masted schooners between 1918 and 1920.
During the 1980s the yard continued to haul and maintain large vessels. Clients included the Coast Guard, U.S. Government and private yacht owners.
Army Navy
Not lightly bestowed or easily won, the Army-Navy "E" burgee, instituted in 1906, was awarded to the shipyard in 1942 by Under Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable James Forrestal, for its outstanding contribution to and in recognition of its exceptional performance during wartime production.
Yachts
In 2004, the yard was sold and renamed. The Boothbay Harbor Shipyard crew has restored the 100-year old NY-30 ALERA, Hull #1 by Nathaniel Herreshoff, designed and constructed the new passenger schooner VALORA and was selected as the builder of a new replica of the historic Jamestown Settlement ship DISCOVERY that was launched in December 2006 for America's 400th Anniversary. We are proud of our continued commitment to the skills and traditions that are integral to Maine's maritime history and have been offered as services at this location since 1869.

I have to say that my inspiration has come from looking at Bev (Sugarbloom Cupcakes) Photostream, she makes the most wondefully decorated cupcakes.
Samples are placed into a nitrogen vapor container to deep freeze perishable samples during transport to the lab. For molecular analysis, the waters must be collected, filtered, processed and flash frozen within 12 minutes to preserve the genetic material within the sample.

In audio I get the pronunciation of "coffee" which I can practice. In a pinch, I could show someone the picture and Chinese word. I wont be trying to order any fancy coffees....
Since I am headed to Shanghai in September, I thought I should try and learn a little Chinese. This nifty flash card app runs on my iPod Touch, and so far, is well worth the $4.99 I splurged on it.
