Getting my macro photography back on. Samantha wandered into our rumpus room last night and scuttled under the lounge, prompting my wife to lift her legs off the floor faster than I've seen her move in years ;)
Samantha emerged later looking very pleased with her new "dust and debris" hairdo, I think it's going to be the go-to style for all the in-crowd stylish spiders this season. Or maybe I should think about cleaning under the lounge every now and then.
For the technically minded this photo is actual size and is a focus stack of 10 photos taken with my Olympus 60mm macro lens with a Raynox250 lens attached.

Samantha is excited that it is almost Christmas!
I found this early Pleasant Company (American Girl) Samantha doll at a flea market for $20 and had to take her home. I already had 2 other Sams (a white body very early Pleasant Company and an American Girl version), but this one has a special aura. I had the meet outfit already. I just love her and am so glad I had no self control that day!!

My Christmas tree
Samantha is the name given to this baby giant boa python and one of tourists attraction in the town of Maribojoc, Bohol, Philippines.
Moraine Lake has to be one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen in my life so far. It was photos of this lake that first inspired me to want to travel to the Canadian Rockies, and now I can say I've been there twice! It's one of my favorite places in the world.
