I don't know if these openings in the Transbay ramp surface are necessary from a structural purpose or if they're just a design choice. I tried to get a similar shot at night, but a parked car blocked access for the right perspective.

The moisture over #SanFrancisco was so dense for Moonset which made it difficult to get sharp picture. Here is my double header this morning. Alignment with Salesforce Tower and TransAmewrica Pyramide.

Here's a recent stock use in New York Magazine about the current high rise roll out in San Francisco, much of it centered around the Transbay development.

Age of Enlightenment or the Age of Reason?

With rampant effects of global warming, age of reason come into questions with the amount of so many glass and steal buildings, a.k.a.solar reflectors, in a city that's usually enshrouded with fog at this time of year.

However, SF did not have its annual warm weather week in February this year, as usual, after living here for 22 plus years for the first time in almost, …. 22 years! I could be off a year or two.

A city of contrasts, captured in a single frame.

SFMOMA burns warm against the cold geometry of glass and shadow—emotion meeting precision. The cool glass of the St. Regis, the historic rise of the PacBell Tower, and the futuristic gleam of the Salesforce Tower—San Francisco’s past, present, and future, colliding right here.

Fire and ice. Art and engineering.

Salesforce Tower, an architectural marvel in San Francisco, stands as the city's tallest skyscraper. Completed in 2018, this 61-story building soars to a height of 1,070 feet, dominating the skyline. Serving as the headquarters for Salesforce, a leading cloud computing company, the tower boasts a sleek and modern design. Its glass exterior, tapering as it ascends, reflects the dynamic surroundings. The crown of the tower is illuminated at night, creating a striking presence. Beyond its impressive stature, Salesforce Tower symbolizes the city's technological prowess and innovation, embodying San Francisco's evolution into a hub for cutting-edge industries.

Clouds make for some interesting sunsets. Our last night in Emeryville, and a beautiful one it was.

View from room # 1002, Hyatt House Emeryville -- looking to SF Bay, the east span of the Bay Bridge, the SF skyline ..... and the ever-present, ever-awful I-80 traffic.

Panorama stitched from four hand-held photos.

With the SalesForce Tower in the background, the Chase Center is busy growing up right before our eyes. Daily construction crews number eight hundred, with all crafts concentrating on getting the job done.
