An Taoiseach visits Salesforce to discuss driving successful youth employment activities : An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. today visited the Irish base of US technology multinational Salesforce at Central Park, Leopardstown, to discuss how the company is helping to drive employment for IrelandÃs youth through a wide variety of internal and community initiatives. During his visit, An Taoiseach met with young graduates of SalesforceÃs recruitment and training programme, FutureForce; delegates from the Trinity Access Programme and young coders from CoderDojo who showed him their skills in a demo coding session. Salesforce supports each of these initiatives and recently announced a new global partnership with CoderDojo. Speaking at the event, An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. said, "Breaking the cycle of youth unemployment is one of the biggest priorities of the Government. I commend Salesforce for its FutureForce initiative that provides invaluable training opportunities for young people in an exciting digital company. This is a policy that the Government is also championing by providing more education, training and work experience opportunities for young people in order to break the cycle of youth joblessness. We will redouble our efforts as the Government works towards achieving full employment by 2018." Making Inclusion a Source of Strength
At a time when the debate over inequality has become a national flashpoint, companies need to rethink their approach to equality within the space they have direct control: the workplace. Every company aspires to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace, and enjoy the resulting benefits of resilience and creativity, but efforts too often fall short.
