Trek to the desert camp just as the sun is setting. Quite an amazing experience. A real sense of loneliness and wonderment is felt while being in the Sahara. The large camel is names Bob Marley and the smaller camel (with a bigger attitude) is named Jimi.

Chasing the sky colouring came up pretty empty....I thought. Developing at home produced colours that were not the result of processing. Was it the sand of the Sahara in the atmosphere after all?

...comes yesterday late afternoon

Merzouga, Morocco.

Merzouga is located on a trading route and was once a pilgrimage town for Berber tribes. The traditional architecture of the Berbers is characterized by buildings made from pise, or red mud clay bricks that have been dried in the sun.

Occasionally, the Sahara dust drifts to Germany. That brings us beautiful sunsets here.

Yesterday evening a wonderful artwork of nature in the sky. Dust particles from the Sahara desert gave a wonderful sunset. I was a bit to late to go outside into fields to make a picture but glad I cloud make some pictures.

It is the longest in the world at 98 km and was built in 1972 by Spain in its former African province.

It is capable of moving approximately 2,000 tons of materials per hour. It is so large that it is clearly visible on Google Maps along its entire length, even from a great height.

I took this picture trough the window of a bus. Maybe it's not the best shot ever but I found it interesting to see how the sky turned yellow by the dust of the Sahara.

Searching for the well in the desert...

Besides our tent camp there is a single table on a dune. I was lucky that there were 3 women at the table when the sun rised in the back.

Viatges inoblidables.
