Il permet de mettre un peu de distance entre ce gros rouleau appelé Sefer renformant la Torah et son lecteur. Cet instrument est habituellement composé de métal, d''ivoire ou de bois et sert surtout à ne pas salir le livre sacré et augmenter sa durée de vie.

I had been thinking about it for weeks.... about something substantial to give my friends at the start of the trip.
The idea of the hexagons came to me in a moment of meditation on the beach in Jacksonville the week before.
6 sides to represent the shape we make when standing together, facing outward (outward looking orientation). And the hexagons would spell the acronym for our troop of adventurers, ALGAED, as well as RIDVAN. And they would fit together to make shapes and words. And they would protect and inspire.
A prayer that asks GOD to protect the bearer, and a directive about the reason we were blessed to make this journey, and our purpose in life.
