A Collection of photo's I took while attending Katsucon 2016! Thank you to everyone who allowed me to take their picture! I feel this is some of my best work!
Photos from the Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age exhibit at the Museum of Science. Quoting from their description:
Travel back to a time when humans shared the stage with woolly giants! Examine full-scale replicas of massive Ice Age mammals, including Lyuba, a 40,000-year-old baby mammoth discovered by a Siberian reindeer herder in 2007. The exhibit also features some of the oldest art in existence, huge skulls and tusks, weird and wonderful mammoth relatives, and mastodon bones collected by William Clark (of Lewis and Clark fame) for President Thomas Jefferson's own collection.
This exhibition was created by The Field Museum, Chicago.

This is Amos! He is the second Sabertooth doll i have made. He's 14" from horn tip to toe claw.
Amos is handmade. His body is hand sewn and stuffed with soft fiberfill. The horns are completely hand sculpted from durable epoxy clay while the face/claws/ears are cast from light weight, tough plastic. After hand painting the parts are coated with several layers of durable clear coating.
Each of these dolls is made to be a one of a kind, very special piece of art. They mean a lot to me since so much time and care is put into each doll. Amos will not be for sale, sorry... however my other Sabertooths will be. Im just way too in love with Amos to sell him!
His hair is made from dyed and dreaded wool, hand shaped and sewn in.
His necklace is a long carved yak bone mala from Tibet ( a necklace i wear but it looks better on him)
