It’s surprising what you can find in your neighbourhood. We’ve recently moved house and despite being in a largely residential area this lake is but a short walk from home.
It’s surrounded by a housing estate on two sides and a busy A road on another but it was amazingly peaceful and tranquil in the early morning light.
Shot on my Samsung and processed in Adobe Photoshop Express on my phone with a little bit of work done in Snapseed. I used Express on the recommendation of friends and I have to say that I think it has definitely brought out more detail and retained more dynamic range than when I use Snapseed on its own.
Thanks for visiting and I hope that you enjoy the work.

I went along to the Scale Model World annual show in Telford on Saturday. Yep, I know, it was a full on geeky nerdfest and I enjoyed every minute of it. It took me back to my well spent youth making models into the dead of night, that is until I started to notice models of the flesh and blood kind. Well things have gone full circle and I'm back to admiring models of the plastic variety. Bought a few to try my hand with and took a few snaps with my mobile. This is one of the pictures that I've dressed up in
Smart Photo Editor for a bit of fun.

I noticed water pooling in the base of this succulent and the water resistant leaves had given the liquid a look as though melted glass had been poured in.

The "Oaks" actually refers to the name given to the collection of pitches used for football matches for the junior teams.
I'm not a big football fan so I had a wander around the edges during a lull in my lads game to see what I could bag with my smartphone.

Redo of an oldie in Toolwizphotos app on Galaxy s7Edge. Overlaid photo of own watercolor texture then used color effect in app.
kinda of a Texas Hill Country tradition. On some rural country road, I came across this decor, barely view-able anymore with all the overgrown bushes. HFF
Photo prise rapidement avec mon téléphone portable depuis un vol Hawaiian Air juste avant d'arriver à Honolulu.
Went for a stroll in the local woods. We didn't get the amounts of snow that some parts of the country received but the light dusting, sub zero temperatures, crispness underfoot and a bright sun all went towards a very enjoyable couple of houirs out. Shot with my clever phone.
Ticket windows at railway station in Malbork, Poland.
An unusually picturesque building in the neo-gothic style from 1891.
March, 2018.
It's been a while since I've had a car in my photostream so I'm really pleased to be adding this one.
I took this shot at a reenactment event in Pickering last year with my Samsung S7 Edge. It's subsequently been put throught its paces in LR, Smart Photo Editor, Photoscape and Picasa.
Thanks for visiting and I hope that you enjoy the work.

One from the garden using my trusty little Samsung S7 Edge. Using forced flash yielded some really nice and interesting results
Just had a couple of days in London hitting some of the galleries. Naturally I also took loads of pictures whilst wandering about from venue to venue, and this is the first off the roll.
Shot with my all new, all singing, all dancing, smart phone. Very smart as it turns out because it's producing some very credible and impressive images.
No, I know, it won't replace my cameras - well not completely - but it was a bit of an eye opener just how much has improved since my last smart phone purchase (and this one is sooo last year - in terms of tech) and I haven't even switched over to Pro mode yet. Many happy pictures to come I think.
Thank you for visiting my stream.
