...get it? (groan)
Actually, I remembered this shot from Rod (Newfie Bullet) and thought I'd give it a similar attempt.

Langford Westhills Water Tanks Aerial Drone Flight 3-minute VIDEO
I'll bet the climate changed more than a few times since this shale was formed. And human activity had nothing to do with it.
Now humans are building dwellings upon it in Westhills.
The entire Earth's history is recorded in its rocks. — Dr. Ian Plimer
Light painting this old Desoto that I saw parked in a church parking lot across from the local home center. I used led lenser, ryobi and coast flashlights for the lighting. I was pleased with the way this came out. I had envisioned it looking like this, but was not sure exactly what to do, so it took a little experimenting.

Hibernia is a mood.
It's the place where your Yak truck is so rugged and the cab is so high that you have to carve up your precious payload just to make steps to get in to the darn thing.
Yes, those legs - a mishap with a Ryobi Ice saw led to that sorry day.

It looks almost like this old car is alive again. I found these old cars on the side of the road a few years ago and wanted to photograph them. I finally decided this might be the best way to do it. Im using a Ryobi flashlight with an old school yellow light bulb, a coast flashlight for the headlights, and a Ledlenser for the red. DSC_1598b-001

St. Luke's has a group of volunteers who regularly meet to maintain the cemetery ground. I am one of those volunteers.
Wednesday while I had my bike out to cycle to the market, I took a short loop up through the University of Victoria
(UVic) grounds.
Seen here are Sinclair Rd. views from Haro Road Xing between UVic and Frank Hobbs Elementary School grounds.
This entire distance connects the roundabout at Cadboro Bay Rd. with the roundabout at Finnerty Rd.
8am whacked Alumni Trail with hedge-trimmer for some 40m (including both sides)
N.B. The vehicle was not visible before trimming. Yes, it was raked afterwards.

Both Gerald and Charles served with the Canadian Military during WWI. RIP.
The cost of this bike trailer box I built last year from free cardoard was zero ($0.00).
Works real good, lasts a long time.

Saturday morning I rode down to Cadboro Bay to road-test my new bicycle seat.
It's a Raleigh Air Pump seat ($69) which adjusts by using the built-in pump or relief valve.
Fitting a new bicycle seat is always a challenge (I've changed three now) because nothing is standardized.
Oh, each manufacturer states theirs is standard but the three I've changed are all different.
The spacing of the seat rails and the diameter of the seat post adapter are the main two variables — but I got it to work.
Update: This seat did NOT pass the test. Bought another one.
Tuesday I went to St. Luke's cemetery testing Ryobi scrubber brush. It was used in combination with 600psi Ryobi powerwasher
After adding a $29 Ryobi Foam Blaster to my Ryobi collection I tried it out on the Honda. The product attachment came with its own chemical cleaner so I used that. I'm not too impressed because it left a bit of film on the vehicle after rinsing and wipe-down. I may try it again using another cleaning product.
P.S. The vehicle is in our underground carwash.
Used in clearing multiuser trails in the wilds of Vancouver. Island. This Ryobi hedge-trimmer is one device in the 40v. line of cordless tools.
Saturday morning I cycled 8km roundtrip to Cadboro Bay Gyro Park and back thru UVic and hedge-trimmed Hobbs Road trailhead.

My workshop with Mastercraft folding work table set up to saw wood with Ryobi, 18v.battery operated skillsaw. The table is split to form it into a vice.
N.B. Ryobi has a whole line of heavier-duty tools which are 40v. and deliver the same results as gas-powered models but are quieter and don't smell.

They called him: Longgun Jack by the Sea and Longgun Place — off McKenzie Avenue — is named after him.

Drove to Humpback Rd. E&N Railway Xing and walked the tracks back to where the big root is impinging upon a trail.
P.S. 2m from the root on the downhill trail was a pile of two-day-old bear scat.
N.B. I started removing this root from this trail several years ago. Daytime temperatures are too high to do more today.

Saturday morning I cycled over to St. Luke's church cemetery to do some volunteer cleanup with my battery-powered tools in my Burley Flatbed Trailer®.
My friend of some 60 years helped me out again this morning. Amazon.com is overdue with the 8" brush cutter blades ordered weeks ago so in desperation my friend saved me, again.
By removing a small amount of metal with his disc grinder from the hardened steel blade guard the only brush blade I have now fits.
This blade is 10" in diameter and was ordered from Walmart weeks ago. But they delivered on time.
Some minor improvements are being made to the mini-park located at the north end of Kettle Creek Crescent. The path seen here at the left-of-frame connects to Montego Drive connector near the E&N Railway trail xing.
8 inch, 80 teeth, circular brush cutting carbide tipped blades with 1 inch (1") arbor bore. "Renegade" brand, made in China and sold only online in packages of five (5) blades.
N.B. $40 bucks shipping (ouch!)
