Ace didn't want anyone to use their personal camera, so I got this poster shot where he was signing autographs. Ace's assistant would take a pic of him with you and post on his website, for you to retrieve.

And then the unexpected cosplay.

Happy Birthday to #RutgerHauer

Completed the sculpt work on my first version of Roy Batty - Blade Runner - 1:18 scale. Like the Deckard figure posted earlier, had to go back and make some adjustments to the mid-torso cut, shoulders and elbows. Aves FIXIT is a brilliant product but is unforgiving once cured!

Completed the sculpt of the coat and gave the figure a little more in the height department. More work on Batty to come - I imagine a few more versions of him I would like to do...#roybatty #bladerunner #replicant #rutgerhauer

State of the art bang bang.

Third row, fifth seat...Oswald "stole" a ticket at the Texas Theater and snuck inside to try to avoid arrest on the day of JFK's shooting.

This is a model of Roy Batty from my favorite scifi film. Robert painted this figure and I must say that it looks wonderful. Robert is also working on a Deckard model for me, so once he completes the paint job I'll post photos.

Early Paul Verhoeven film starring Rutger Hauer. Rated X!

I'm not quite sure she knew what to do here.

Scaring little kids is the order of the day!

Collecting for a good cause.

I met this guy in February, and decided to say hi again!

Dutch collectors card by Monty, no. 28, 1970. Photo: Gerard Soeteman. Rutger Hauer in the TV series Floris (Paul Verhoeven, 1969).

Finally, I found some collectors cards of my favourite series, Floris (1969). The series was the start of the successful careers of director Paul Verhoeven, scriptwriter Gerard Soeteman and of course Rutger Hauer. Hauer played the exiled knight Floris. With his Indian friend Sindala (Jos Bergman), he tries to get his birthright papers back from Maarten van Rossem (Hans Culeman), an evil lord. During their quest, they get help from Wolter van Oldenstein (Ton Vos), a nobleman who offers them a place in his castle. They also meet the pirate Lange Pier (Hans Boskamp).

So Sylvester got his spoons out and played them on Colin!

Built by Howard Hughes and made infamous by the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald, it has suffered over the years from the stigma of Oswald and the shifting of commerce away from Oak Cliff and Jefferson St. The theater has been acquired by a new group and they have plans to renew it as a community focal point. I was given a ticket to see the new Rutger Hauer film "Hobo with a shotgun"
