The Russian Knights (Russian: Russkiye Vityazi) is an aerobatic demonstration team of the Russian Air Force. Originally formed on April 5, 1991 at the Kubinka Air Base as a team of six Sukhoi Su-27s, the team was the first to perform outside the Soviet Union in September 1991 when they toured the United Kingdom. On December 12, 1995, disaster struck as three team jets flew in-formation into a mountainside near Cam Ranh, Vietnam during approach while en route to home from a Malaysian airshow during adverse weather conditions. The team now performs with four Su-27Ps and two Su-27UBs.

The end of the school year is so close, been working hard on my schoolwork, on track to passing. I'm back with a few DC figs straight from Russia. 2 days ago half of my order from LEGO came, I ordered a random Bandmate from the VIDIYO Minifigures pack & another parts order. I also just order 6 random figs from the Looney Tunes CMF from Amazon, I really hope I get Daffy Duck. In case you were wondering the Bandmate I got is the Werewolf Drummer, so excited to you all the figs I can make with him. Only gets better from here...

The Russian Knights display on the Sunday at Kecskemet was moved to 1PM, which - whilst giving harsher light than in the evening - did provide some different lighting during the display.

Flanker breaking hard over the crowdline. Given how dry it was that day, it's incredible that the Su-27 managed to create even the smallest amount of vapour!
Also note the amount of empty flare dispensers on the starboard side between the two engines - evidence of the huge quantity ejected during the tailslide earlier in the display!
Two Su-27 Flankers of the Russian Knights fly along the crowdline at Kecskemet International Airshow 2013. A delay to the flying schedule meant they were pushed back until just before sunset. Superb light in the golden hour!
