Nope. I couldn't live in a city. Do cities attract weird people or make them appear weird to 'normal' people visiting from the countryside? Or is it me that is weird? Either way I prefer somewhere quieter and less complicated. I like natural beauty and tranquillity.
Life in the city may seem one mad rush but actually this man is stood utterly and totally, frozen still. He's one of those people who stands statue still until you give him some money. I have to say he was marvellously convincing. It can't be easy to hold this position totally still for hours on end.

Formosa Boulevard station is named after the Formosa Boulevard project, a remodelling of Kaohsiung's Jhongshan Road in preparation for the 2009 World Games.Formosa Boulevard is in turn named after the Formosa Incident (see google for full details)

Taken whilst out on a boat trip to McNabs Island back in 2012.
Although the scene was nice enough I thought I would mess with it a little and see if I could make it visually more appealing...This is what happened! I like it! Hopefully you do too.
McNabs Island is the largest island in Halifax Harbour located in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It played a major role in defending Halifax Harbour and is now a provincial park. The island was first settled in 1780s by Peter McNab, and McNab family members lived on the island until 1934.
After a recent rain in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County California the creek in Rincon Valley Community Park way very high. Taken with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Edited in Lightroom Classic.

MNRX 512 departs the Coon Rapids-Riverdale station enroute to Big Lake.
Though not seen in the photo, a lot of people disembarked the train and quickly went for their vehicles in the parking lot, which was often full at this time.
Unfortunately for commuter fans, the story is much different 10 years later, as Northstar is now just days away from it's final run and shutting down for good.

A multiple exposure image created via layers in photoshop. Taken next to the Moulin Rouge early morning. I had wanted to make an image featuring the iconic Moulin Rouge windmill, however it was covered up so I focused instead on the busy street scene to the side.

As the sun sets, pronghorn crest a neighboring mountain top, casting unseen shadows and creating dreamy silhouettes. It’s a spectacle I always look forward to when visiting Yellowstone and one that many people miss in their on their rush out of the park in the evening.

Got the Ausu Pro Art monitor as a replacement, it was pre factory calibrated, sounded great but when I viewed my image most of the highlights were looking blown, then I logged into flicker and noticed that the problem was not just my images but most images online.
Removed factory calibration and did the calibration myself using color vision and it worked out perfect. It is a great monitor
CPKC's FIFA World Cup Special crosses the Rush Creek Viaduct in Liberty as it approaches the end of it's journey from Calgary to Kansas City. Although this set of Canadian Pacific varnish is running on former CP rails, this line was originally constructed by the Chicago, Milwaukee, Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad starting in 1885 and opening in 1887. In 1930-1931, both the Milwaukee Road and Rock Island worked on track improvements between Polo and Kansas City, with the Rush Creek Bridge completed in 1931. Although the original top half of the bridge was replaced by Canadian Pacific in 2019, the columns and approaches are still original to the days of the MILW and CRI&P. Nowadays, the CPKC and UP share this bridge.
Although the streamlined A-B-A set of EMDs on the point of the consist are dressed up in Canadian Pacific's maroon and grey livery, the locomotives actually originate from their neighbor up north; Canadian National. CP 1401 is an EMD FP9A originally built as CN 6541 in July 1958, CP 1900 is an EMD F9B built as CN 6612 in January 1955 and CP 4107 is an EMD FP9A built as CN 6526 in May 1957. Though all three eventually changed hands to Via Rail, CP 1401 and CP 1900 ended up on the Nebkota while CP 4107 ended up on the Ohio Central. Eventually the power was aquired by Canadian Pacific for their business train fleet, and still retain their CP colors almost 3 years after the merger with the KCS.
