Merced River spring runoff after a wet winter along highway 140 on the way to Yosemite...

Or it would normally have been just after 5pm on a weekday. Park Street, Croydon.

Almost got caught with how quick the tide came rushing in!!

unfulfilled but divine

how could I be so blind?

what is this world

doing to me?

all the tears I have cried

I've opened my eyes"...

At Rush City I was surprised to see stored hoppers at the shuttered flour mill, making it appear as if the big customer was still active.

Out the Way. We're coming through.

So I was sitting on the rocks beside the harbour at Cremorne Point, waiting to capture the sunset, when this outrageous Italian speedboat roared past, half out of the water.

It was flying the Italian flag and was (I discovered later when it finally 'settled down' and cruised into Mosman Bay) a vintage-style speedboat that has been imported from Venice, in Italy.

The mad Italian couple that you can see in the photograph are Giuseppe and Isabella, who have come here to Sydney to see the NYE fireworks and then other events in January, 2025.

They were in a hurry to get to their dinner booking at the Ripples Restaurant (Chowder Bay, Mosman) - where, btw, you can "park" your Italian speedboat right outside.

As you do.

SCXY 1326 and 1325 roll into Rush City with 40 cars from Hinckley, soon to have their day completed as they would stuff their train just south of here and tie up for the day. The clouds were rolling in pretty good once this run got to Rock Creek but a lucky break in the clouds made for a pleasing snowbank elevation scene.

Red Bud Illinois

I've been funding myself at this spot on the Red Deer a lot lately. I've always like the location, but with the River so low this year, it's easier to get close to the rapids.

Can't for the life of me remember which lens!!...Crazy bokeh anyway😁

“One she stopped rushing through life, she was amazed how much more life she had time for.”- Unknown. The space between the two levels of the waterfall I posted recently, has small plateaus and cascades of water rushing between the rocks. When the sun shone into the pools of water, I was able to bring out the colors with my warming polarizer. The liquid gold flowing with the sky blue was magical. Hints of orange fallen leaves added another dimension to the palette. I was mesmerized by it all. I definitely did not rush this moment.

„al-sa‘at al-shaghala“ in Arabic means: „The busy hour“ in a souk like here in Marrakech … it magically works that hundreds of people, moto scooters and donkey carts make their way through the narrow passages of the souk

Rush Creek flows through the upper Sierra Nevada Foothills eventually dumping into the South Fork of the Yuba River near Jones Bar. It's a pretty little creek with lots of quiet shady spots surrounded by rugged rocks. Here, a peaceful little grotto provides the perfect environment for a little feet dangling on those warm summer days. This spot is definitely on my "preferred quiet places" list.
