A puffins life, constantly being harassed by gulls

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.

It was quite early in the morning but the sun was already up and the light was very bright and harsh.

I had to lie prone on the look-out deck to photograph this duck in order to avoid the glare from the water and the background reed vegetation.

Thank you all very much for the visits and comments.

Friday was a busy day for the coots, with lots of opportunities for us to catch the coots chasing.

On this one I like the feathers touching water

A small vessel passes in front of the setting sun. I like this image, in particular, because of the mock-mirage of the sun. This occurs when a layer of cooler air is trapped below an inversion layer, creating the appearance of a sun that is no longer round.

There's a storm moving in!

This is the same bufflehead I shot last week at Commonwealth Lake on takeoff. This was just before the other shot.

corriendo al atardecer

Absolutely surprised by this spontaneous visit of this deer. It calmly ran across the meadow and grazed until it finally ran into a small wooded area.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

It was so strangely quiet walking along the sea front in Bournemouth on a Monday morning. But... with a week to go before the next stage of our government's "roadmap" out of lockdown, we could see people working at hotels and entertainment areas, such as this, in preparation of people being allowed indoors and overnight from next Monday, May 17 :) Hopefully that will mean people inside the pods on the big wheel.

Bufflehead (F) needs a running start for taking off.

Image taken at ISO 5000, the noise is quite apparent. Nevertheless, I find the reflections and the overall image scheme quite pleasing.
