This is the last week of Enchantment and the feeds have been flooded with some of the best Alice in Wonderland images I've ever seen, which makes adding to it quite daunting. I couldn't help but make another image using Tableau Vivant's awesome hair from Fantasy Gacha Carnival though! I am wearing new Stripper Sparkles by Cynful in the image. I wish their......

Inle Lake, Taunggyi, and a few hill stations in the western periphery of the Shan State are the only places in the state that have been fully controlled by the central government throughout the British rule and independent Myanmar. The rest of the state has been tended to be autonomous and fragmented into small territories of ethnic minorities. The area is better known as the Golden Triangle.
Kyaingtong (Burmese) or Kengtung (Thai) is the largest town in the Golden Triangle. It is a fortified old town that had been the seat of a Shan ruler called Sawbwa (Burmese) or Saopa (Thai).
Accordingly, the stupa of Wat Jom Kam is built in a northern Thai style. It does not have a Hti, a metal ornament that tops the stupas in Myanmar.
Ho potuto (purtroppo) vedere la scala interna della nuova ala dell’ospedale di Grosseto e l’ho fotografata con tutti i dispositivi che avevo a disposizione: la Zorki 4 ed il mio mitico iPhone SE (1st generation).
Neptune Fountain, with Gloriette in the background
The garden axis points towards a 60-metre-high (200 ft) hill, which since 1775 has been crowned by the Gloriette structure.
Maria Theresa decided the Gloriette should be designed to glorify Habsburg power and the Just War (a war that would be carried out of "necessity" and lead to peace), and thereby ordered the builders to recycle "otherwise useless stone" which was left from the near demolition of Schloss Neugebäude.
Schloss Schönbrunn was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, located in Hietzing, the 13th district of Vienna. The name Schönbrunn (meaning "beautiful spring") has its roots in an artesian well from which the court consumed water.
The 1,441-room Baroque palace is one of the country's most important architectural, cultural, and historic monuments. The history of the palace and its vast gardens spans over 300 years, reflecting the changing tastes, interests, and aspirations of successive Habsburg monarchs. It has been a major tourist attraction since the mid-1950s.[

I was uninspired trying to come up with something interesting for this theme until I looked in my "Measure & Level" drawer and found a couple old rulers that have obviously been around for a while.
The green smear of paint on the top ruler was my grandfather's tool color and the one on the bottom is actually stamped "Made in the U.S.A."-- very uncommon these days.
Anyway, Happy Macro Monday everyone! :)
Matthew 20:25 “But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles have absolute power and lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them [tyrannizing them].”

Po-i-Kalan or Poi Kalan (Uzbek: Poi Kalon, Persian: پای کلان Pā-i Kalān, which means "The Foot of the Great"), is an Islamic religious complex located around the Kalan minaret in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
The complex is located in the historic part of the city. Since 713, several ensembles of main mosques were built in this area, to the south of the Ark citadel. One of these complexes, burned down by Genghis Khan during the siege of Bukhara, was built in 1121 by the Karakhanid ruler Arslan-khan. The Kalan minaret is the only one of the structures of Arslan-han complex that was kept safe during that siege.
I really don't know what I'm doing, but I so wanted to try. Got my older Nikon with the macro lens out after a long time being too sick to use everything.
So here goes, just the corner of a battery box right next to a plain wood ruler. If I didn't do it right, please forgive me, I tried and tried and tried and tried.

Izumo was given to the Horio (堀尾氏) as a reward for their contribution to the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600.
They completed Matsue Castle in 1611. The family, however, was stripped of their title in 1633 as their 3rd ruler died without an heir.
The Tokugawa shogunate sent the Kyougoku (京極氏) as the new ruler. They were stripped of their title as the new ruler died in 1637 without an heir.
Both of them were typical Tozama Daimyou.
The shogunate relocated Matsudaira Naomasa (松平直正 1601-1666) from Matsumoto in Nagano prefecture to Matsue in 1638. He was a grand son of Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川家康 1543-1616), the first shogun of the Tokugawa, and a cousin of Tokugawa Iemitsu (徳川家光 1604-1651), the third shogun.
Matsudaira rule of Matsue continued until the Meiji Restoration.
This is Drax (Superhero), our grand dog, who is part Shih Tzu and part Jack Russell Terrier. He is very affectionate and sometimes rambunctious, especially if there is food nearby. He loves sitting on comfortable chairs and is most certainly the ruler of our house!
Rollers for 16mm, 35mm, and 70mm film. The 16mm roller, lower right, is from a film synchronizer; the two 35mm rollers and the 70mm one are for film guidance in platter system-equipped projection systems.
I decided to throw in the ruler to ratchet up the R-item count. Alas, I realized a little too late I should have instead featured the metric side (a shade over 152mm long, just for the record) given that film widths have always been specified in metric units worldwide.
