This is a view from the Douro River in Portugal. Not far from Porto. The terrain is steep and rugged. It was a calm day so I was able to get nice reflections in the water of the bridge.
The stunningly rigged coast of the Algarve, Portugal around the corner from Carveiro while staying at the Rocha Brava site.
Snowdon Mountain in Wales is rugged and magnificent. I love the views throughout Wales but I'm really drawn to the rugged mountain terrain of Snowdon. Better yet, take the train up the mountain and be amazed. (Edited in Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz)
I made the long drive (3 hr each way) to Pemaquid Point yesterday, mainly to photograph the lighthouse and the surrounding unique rock formations (amazing textures). The weather forecast in the morning had predicted clearing skies when I arrived at noon. That was not to be the case. It was now supposed to clear around 4pm, which I couldn't wait around for. But you make the best of what you've got, right? I think this one underscores the wonderful rugged nature of Maine. More to come from the lighthouse.
Happy Sunday all!
Not all Australia's "outback" is flat. The rock formation on the left of the photo is known by locals as the Great Wall of China. I think you'll be able to see why. It is located in the west of the Northern Territory, Australia, near the border with Western Australia,
Happy weekend!
Biarritz lies on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast, in southwestern France. Unlike any other part of France. The region has its own language, cultural landscape, architecture, and culinary traditions. The land here is breathtakingly distinctive— with the turquoise blue waters, wild coastline, and rugged foothills of the Pyrenees

Finally i found some time to go through my latest photos, almost 1,5 month after I took them. It was a weekend with nice weather so I felt like Maine's shoreline was calling me. And I answered. After spending a day at Ogunquit's beach, I headed a little north to visit Kennenbunkport and walk around its cute little downtown area. As I was enjoying a slice of pizza from a local restaurant, I read about a Blowing Cave park, a place with rocky shore and crushing waves. Didn't have to think twice since I had all my photo gear with me. I devoured the pizza and 10 minutes later I was there, enjoying this magnificent place. The waves were rumbling below me as I could feel salty droplets on my face. The mansion you see in this photo, named Walker's Point Estate, is the summer retreat of Bush family. During Georg H.W. Bush presidency, this mansion was considered to be the Summer White house. The coastline is beautiful and the view along Ocean ave is very scenic.

Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!
After the not so spectacular sunset at the Seceda (maybe I have one image which I do like which I might upload later), we went down to our cabin to sleep a few hours before hiking up again for sunrise. Waking up at 4 a.m. we started our steep hike to the top through thick mist and I started to think that the sunrise also won’t be great. As it turned out, I was completely wrong since the mist started to disappear very quickly right before reached the top. Even though I was out of breath, I started to run the last bit to the top to catch some of the last mist, but there wasn’t much left when I arrived. The sun was also still behind the mountains in the distance and so I took a few images and waited for the sun to peek above the mountains. Although the dense fog had disappeared, there was still some thin mist hanging in the air that looked really nice once the sun shone through, where I also closed the aperture in order to get a sunstar. It’s hard to convey the beauty of this impressive location, but I hope this image somehow does it justice. I hope you like it!
Happy new week:)

Though little travelled by tourists, Sardinia’s interior is in many ways the most interesting part of the island, dominated by thick forests and rugged peaks. The local inhabitants have retained a fierce sense of independence and loyalty to their traditions, and this is especially true in the ring of the once almost impenetrable Monti del Gennargentu.

Nice Music:
This was taken right on the top of a large sea cave. On this particular morning there was a strong southerly wind blowing so the seas were quite wild. But hey, what a magnificent view!!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone:))
The morning sun was catching the rugged outer wall of Wilpena Pound very nicely, with the foreground looking wonderfully lush and green and park-like after some good winter rains.

Nothing much to see here ..but for me ! This is what I absolutely love walking the mountains . finding a moment where I allow the elements of climate sweep over me. Isolation and raw nature.
Love it up here... The Glyderau mountains. Snowdonia.
