Original knitting pattern. Designed to fit the 18” American Girl or similar dolls with an 11” chest circumference.

Mae is a short sleeved hooded pullover with an allover lace pattern on front and back, a deep v-neckline and garter stitch edgings. There are decorative buttons at hip. Sweater is knit flat in two pieces from the bottom-up, then seamed along side edges before picking up stitches for the sleeves and hood. Sleeves are worked in the round on DPN’s, the hood is knit flat then seamed at top edge with a three needle bind-off. Pattern includes schematic.

The Ruby Red Story

It all started when Mike and Martine ditched their high-flying jobs, donned flip flops and began a life-changing journey through the parts of Asia that tourists never normally experience.

“In between chatting to Tibetan Monks and riding elephants across Nepal we discovered a culture where beauty isn’t locked up in sterile white rooms.” says Martine. ” Amazing potions and lotions are being cooked up right there on the streets. After the chemical-filled cosmetics we were used to using back home this came as a real revelation.”

So, somewhere between London and Nepal the idea behind Ruby Red took shape. Why bother with harsh chemicals when they could utilise the kind of great Organic Ingredients and traditional techniques that Asians have trusted to protect their skin for centuries?

We put a "dress Jen" doll in the paper. This is what came back from Ruby Red frontwoman Rockin' Robin.

I will have to stand a few up because I have 3 more Ruby Red dolls to add once I open them, Rita, Little Alice, and now Drusilla when she arrives.
