You are not going to believe your eyes when you see this piece in person! What a wonderful surprise this was when we pulled it out of our kiln. This very unique piece was created by my husband in the flame. So rich and luxurious... a complete attention grabber.
Rich ruby reds, magentas and purple/blues floating with a chunk of shimmering dichroic glass suspended between all of these glorious layers of transparent glass. This piece measures about 2 inches (5.1cm) in length and 1 inch (2.5cm) in width.
Scanned a 7" single (How Was It For You by James) recoloured the label then created my own titles and info. The "45 Pages" bit is in place of the speed, I'll put the actual page count on the final version.
Mohair wig from RubyRed. Extremely soft and good quality. I hope they'll get more colours.
Nell wears a lovely FakeBlondie dress!
This ruby red sugar bowl & candle jar set are paired nicely with a fresh mix of bright green and red succulents.

This was supposed to be the real-life representation of the Ballerina costume, but it became its own story.
After disappearing from the ballroom, the ballerina now appears in a rose-filled garden, gold-and-ruby petals scattered all around her. She is born from the roses. She is born anew.
The entire costume is hand-made, I did not have a sewing machine, but I do believe it came out better than I expected.
Credits to my one of my wonderful friends, who took these pictures and brought them to life.

This was just me having a bit of fun. My car was being towed to the shop (needed a new battery). It had rained overnight and it was about 8 or 9 am. So my car was covered with water droplets glistening in the sun. I have a Mazda that is painted with "Soul Red Crystal" paint. As the car was being raised onto the flatbed, I quickly snapped a shot of the water droplets on the sideview mirror. This shot is actually a heavily cropped and heavily edited detail of that photo. I have a thing for sparkly red. Well, I have a thing for sparkly anything, really. This might make for a nice wallpaper on my phone.

We have reached the end of grapefruit season here -- last month there were Texas grapefruits busting out of the produce section at the grocery store, but this month they are being replaced by strawberries ... from California.
Now we'll have to wait for peach season so we can buy Texas-grown fruit again.
This months package consisted of 11 items, covering schwag from Movable Type, Rubyred Labs, Technorati, Goatse Sighting, EFF, Feed Burner and abazap. I also got some really cool catster and dogster badges :-)

Long dramatic gunmetal jet black crystal and ruby red dangle earrings.
I beaded these earrings using Czech glass crystals in jet black with AB (aurora borealis) finish and small ruby red Swarovski crystals also with AB finish. Antiqued silver bead caps compliment the dark gunmetal finish on the earring wires nicely.
Long kidney shaped gunmetal earring wires add to the dramatic look of these earrings.
Preliminary calculations indicate that a carton from the store yields more juice per $ than actually buying the fruit and squeezing them on your own. I don't understand.
