Plump little smooth oval briolettes of tourmalinated quartz are complemented by pairs of red ruby rondelles, creating a dynamic color combination. The high quality briolettes are crystal clear and rich with chaotic spikes of black tourmaline going every which way inside. All of the gems are linked together securely with sterling silver wire. They are suspended from my handmade sterling earwires. This pair is so lightweight they would be perfect for that all day dress-up event or for that everyday sparkle you love so much.

examples with her wearing less clothes so you can see the mechanical jointing and how interesting it is. was also trying to get her to look a bit older... not sure if she does or not.
i think the knees look neat when they are closed. course they almost never are, but it's a nice detail.
Martine (who already had a background in the cosmetics industry) became fascinated by the cultures where beauty is more about natural ingredients and traditional techniques then sterile white rooms and chemicals.
Vivid red ruby pairs with bold robin egg blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise on sterling silver ball end headpins. They adorn recycled silver teardrops created by hand using PMC. They have been imprinted with a deep paisley pattern, oxidized to a deep gray and hand buffed to bring out the detail. The look is finished with my handmade sterling silver earwires. They are the perfect treat for the July or December baby (turquoise is an alternate birthstone for December).

This is a stunning red spinel bracelet of cherry red color. These genuine spinel beads are accented with faceted pink morganite beads and high karat gold findings. Burmese red spinel is hard to find and yet a truly exquisite gemstone to bead with! One-of-a-kind jewelry!!!

13 hours of volunteering today (whew)! At night there was this annual 'Junk Challenge' where groups have to put on two scenes, and they are given from junk found in people's office garbage's and recycling bins to use as props. My group def got in last place....I think we did not smooze the judges enough...
Anyway, when I was cleaning up I picked up this red material (which I had my eye on at the start but did not get). I looove it! I don't know what I will do with it yet...it may end up as a halloween costume at some point....but yay for my new red material!

One of a kind necklace of Fulani tribal glass beads and Telsum silver tribal beads wth Thai silver toggle clasp, 16 inches
i look at this photo (that's lamb's pride bulky in 'raspberry' there, on the needles, and another, far inferior red color, 'ruby red', i believe, in the skein) with mixed emotions. it's a lovely photo, and it's taken at mabel's, a place where i've had so much fun.
but you don't know the whole story (unless you're larissa). after i took this photo, 10 or 20 minutes later, everett was worse than he's ever been in public, dismantling a whole row of yarn (there must have been a few hundred skeins). i was shocked. instead of apologizing he fought back, eventually calling me (at the top of his lungs, several times) a "stupid frickin dammit bitch."
well then. we walked home. in the rain. carrying truman. this yarn and hat were pretty wet when we arrived, finally, everett and truman soaked to the bone from having jumped in puddles at the track.
i have mixed emotions.
This girl was looking for a look a little softened from her factory paint, but with nice rosey cheeks and well defined lips. She's quite different from most dolls I've painted. It was a fun experience. :0)
