Toen ik om 8:00 uur op dit fotopunt aankwam stond deze trein al op een wachtspoor om een personentrein te laten passeren. Voor de andere foto's paar meter verder net achter de zonnecel gaan staan, want die hoef ik niet op de foto.

This is a RTi chassis, it's basically an International or Navistar truck with a different cab. You can see everything around the cab with all the glass.

Het Slowaakse bedrijf Railtrans International (RTI) is gevestigd in Bratislava en heeft naast locomotieven ook veel eigen goederenwagens. RTI vervoert het meest brandstoffen en dan lijkt af en toe een bezoek aan de raffinaderij in Lingen Holthausen logisch. Desondanks is het een zeldzame gast op de Emslandstrecke.
Een paar uur eerder kwam RTI Vectron 383 112 los langs richting Lingen om aan het einde van de middag met een bonte keteltrein UN 1202 (diesel) Mehringen te passeren richting Salzbergen en verder.
Bear with me, all will be explained...
More motors on the move as RTI's 044 135 passes through Nové Mesto with a lengthy (aren't they all) train of product from Slovakia's contingent of vehicle manufacturers. The vehicles in this example are (again, too numerous to count) Citroën C3 models (in many, many different colours (take that Henry Ford)) emanating from the enormous* Stellantis Plant on the outskirts of Trnava.
Stellantis (N.V). is a multinational automotive manufacturing company formed from the merger in 2021 of the Italian–American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the French PSA Group (thanks Wiki). As the world's fourth-largest automaker by sales Stellantis has 14 car brands in it's stable including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Fiat, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot and Vauxhall.
The Trnava plant is currently responsible for manufacture of the Citroën C3 (and Aircross), Opel Frontera and Peugeot 208.
As promised - In the late 1970s there was an American TV series titled "The Man from Atlantis" which starred actor Patrick Duffy who went on to play Bobby Ewing in the huge TV drama "Dallas". The program was about an amnesiac man believed to be the only surviving citizen of the lost civilization of Atlantis. He demonstrates exceptional gifts including the ability to breathe underwater, withstand extreme depth pressures, he possesses superhuman strength and can make a tasty seafood meal for all the family with very few ingredients in no time at all.
The locomotive is another example to emerge from the Škoda Works at Plzeň in the late 1970s, as ČSD Class S 499.02 - later becoming Class 242 and as a class these guys are known to many Czech/Slovak rail enthusiasts as Plecháč (Tin Man).

*sorry Kia, at 193 ha (1930000 m2) their's is bigger than yours, still it's not how big it is that matters but what cars you make there, right ladies?
Ein weiteres EVU, was man nicht alltäglich sieht, ist RTI. Ende Mai hatte ich das Glück die 383 112 mit einem Getreidezug kurz vor Karlstadt fotografieren zu können. Für den Zug ging es von Plattling nach Karlsruhe. Auch das Wetter machte den Tag mit!

A Freightliner pulling a 53' trailer for target sits at the Speedway Gas Station on 421 in Michigan City.
RTI's (Railtrans International) 242.543 (ex BDŽ 43543) at the head of a lengthy tanker train is held at Bernolákovo for the passing of an EC 278 service.
The village of Bernolákovo is very near Bratislava and, on SK 130, is well served by rail services between the capital and Senec and beyond to Galanta.
Bernolákovo was, for a large part of it's history, within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, during that time the village had the Hungarian name of Cseklész (Čeklís). After World War II, the village and the nearby castle were renamed Bernolákovo in honour of the Slovak linguist Anton Bernolák.
Anton Bernolák (b.1762) was Roman Catholic Priest, Nobleman and Linguist who is recognised as being the first to formerly organise the standard Slovak language as we know it today - Gee thanks Anton, from those of us struggling to get to grips with it!
During the spring of 2019 Slovak broadcaster RTVS held a 'The Greatest Slovak' poll inviting suggestions and votes from the public with the results being announced at a special event on the evening of 1st May - Anton Bernolák was placed at number 57.
For anyone who's wondering, the full list of 100 names included - along with the usual politicians, writers and entertainers - 7 Ice Hockey players but only 1 footballer and, get this....at number 37, Eugene Andrew Cernan, an American citizen but of Slovak and Czech descent who in December 1972 became the 12th and last man to walk on the Moon!! Furthermore, in the number 96 position is Ivan Bella who also went to space with a Russian mission to the Mir space station in 1999.
But the number one - 'The Greatest Slovak' is of course Štefánik. Milan Rastislav Štefánik is kind of a big deal in these parts for a number of reasons, check him out here;

In 1919 Štefánik died in a plane crash and, perhaps rather ironically, in 1993 the airport at Bratislava was named M. R. Štefánik Airport in his honour.
There's also a bloody big statue of him overlooking the Danube at the Eurovea shopping centre in central Bratislava.
RTI are one of several Czech open access operators now seen in Hungary using former CD 242 locos for freight.
