Hauling the memorial train for Nigel Dobbing (the late founder of the Railway Touring Company), 35018 "British India Line" passes a thoroughly "clean-shorn" Werrington Junction with 1Z68, the return leg of the tour from Melton Mowbray to King's Lynn.
Note the construction works being undertaken in preparation for the eventual grade-separation of Werrington Junction; the line of trees which formerly abutted the Down Stamford has now gone, and the Stamford Lines are due to be slewed into the vacant space by Christmas 2019.

F622 RTC 1622. Leyland Lynx new to City Line, Bristol in 1989 at Muller Road later moving to Hengrove then Lawrence Hill. With their Cummins L10 Leyland engines they were called 'fire engines' because of their great acceleration. Examples new to Western National had Leyland TL11 units. Some City Line Lynxes passed to Western National in late nineties and I remember them arriving in Torquay on X80 in full City Line livery with Western National vinyls. Gary Williams' beautifully restored Lynx is seen at Relubbus on 22 during 2017 Penzance running day. A lovely ride!
