I'm looking for a jeweler who will make me a glamorous emerald necklace with diamonds and pearls according to this pattern. Money ist not an issue, as I intend to win the main price in the lottery.

Well , what have we here ? There was a chap sailing his remote control galleon on the water in Bushy Park and then another sailing this futuristic vessel - but what is it supposed to be ? Not a sub from the days of Captain Nemo but would you believe a model boat designed for fishermen . I always thought anglers just lobbed a handful of bait out into the water and then cast their line into the same general area . Not so , now they have a remote control boat loaded with bait that is GPS guided to a favourite fishing spot - whatever next ??

Difficult to know if they are all AECs but certainly only RT families. No LTs, STs STLs or TDs. Woman's Own “The Little Princesses” might target the date.

LLU740, the last LLU in the RT range was RT3941. There must have been some interesting reason why the allocation of licence plates got so out of step with the fleet numbers. See more in comments.

The last RT was OLD589 / RT4825. I was told, or read somewhere, that it would have made RM1, OLD 590. Hardly the reg number for a brand new bus of such fame. Nice story? See more information in comments by Edward Burton.

Driver: Edward Copley extraordinaire...

POSTCARD BACK SAYS. - The RT, first introduced in 1939 and mass-produced from 1947, has been one on London's longest-lived and most successful classes of double-decker bus, dominating the London scene in the 1940s and 1950s. Based on an AEC chassis, with bodies mainly by Park Royal or Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann. These buses are 26 ft. long 7 ft. 6 in. wide and weigh 7 ½ tons : there are 30 seats on the upper deck and 26 on the lower. They are powered by and AEC 9.6 litre engine rated at 115 b.h.p. at 1,800 r.p.m. There is an open rear platform with a staircase at the rear.

On future RT4761 AEC Regent chassis. Bus later fitted with green livery Weymann body. - Ian's Bus Stop RTs – Non Roof Box

"The info on 'Ian's Bus Stop' says the body was from ST 977 (GK 6253, former Tillings 6153) and this combination was put together in 1947, and 'new' RT 4761 entered service in 1954, so that suggests the date." Taken from comments by JB (KK 69521).
