Photographed after a tiny shower of rain. This morning there are 8 poppies in bloom on this plant in our garden. The bees are happy.
After the royal wedding, Cressyda headed out to meet her sister Lyonel in the godswood.

This is a picture from the annual performance of a local ballet school. The show that year was centred on the life of Elizabeth II, and this particular scene was her wedding.
Feel'n at Home With Royalty!
Bill-Girl and I were the only Americans invited to Westminister and Buckingham! I think I represented the good old USA well, very well indeed!
I always felt that these were my kind of people, and, I WAS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
The food stinks (literally) but I am having one bugging bloody crackers time!
The day of the royal wedding has arrived and Kelly has taken her place in the congregation to share in the couples happy day
This is the actual first kiss. At 1:28p.m. Kate and William kissed for the first time (without the grumpy bridesmaid). This lasted for only 0.76s apparently!
They kissed twice and most people use the other kiss photo because the little bridesmaid at the front had a grumpy expression during that.
Thanks for the views everyone. What are the chances the Royal Couple will see this and invite me to meet them?
As emotions at Mennie’s bar are running high, a few doors down at The Tay Bridge Bar, things are much more muted. In fact, the telly is on and even pre-cup coverage isn’t being watched! Aghast!
Taken on my least loved camera, in fact I actively dislike it (sorry Panasonic) At least it does flash on a long exposure, hence the result here so I should be more grateful!
On the day of the long-awaited royal wedding, fairy folk line the path to get a glimpse of the beautiful Maiden of the Meadows. The maiden wears a flowing empire waist gown trimmed with gold accents and she carries a delicate bouquet of flowers from her meadow. Her veil cascades over her long red hair and flows behind her as she walks. The prince looks striking in his gold-trimmed tunic and elegant velvet pants. Reunited with his betrothed, the pair exchange their marriage vows.
I know there are thousands of these photos and this will probably never be seen.
This is the 2nd "first" kiss of Will and Catherine with grumpy looking Grace Van Cutsem (goddaughter of Prince William). I have a photo of the true first kiss but it looks the same as this without the grumpy-ness. Lovely moment.
Taken with a 70-200mm, I've had to crop so the resolution isn't good. I was standing on the steps of the fountain in front of Buckingham Palace.
After securing Dantisbourne Rouse King Rufus spent many a year restoring it back to it's former glory so his son Prince Nicholas was able to wed his bride Lady Katherine there. But due to it's great magical importance it was looked upon with jealous eyes.
Spent Saturday afternoon during the royal wedding sipping some fine Cava courtesy of our good friends.
TVM Janet! Has Betty stopped swearing at the telly yet?

I like the simplicity of this painted wall, the small window and the bunting. Eckington in Worcestershire have an annual Flower Festival and Open Gardens weekend. This year, as it started the day after the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29th April 2011, the theme was weddings.
The marvelous British coat and black shoes are from tsanfw on Etsy or by here through @ Penelope Hutton . It’s really a great fashion designer, in my point of view :-)
I hope everyone enjoyed the Royal Wedding! I'm not usually into the Royal Family, but their goings on certainly unites the country, and that's a good thing.
My website is down at the moment, but please look me up on facebook and I now have a brand new addiction that is tweeting. Oh dear!

Botanische Tuin de Kruidhof
Buitenpost
(the Netherlands)

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London. Prince William, the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales, first met Catherine "Kate" Middleton in 2001, when both were studying at the University of St Andrews. Their engagement on 20 October 2010 was announced on 16 November 2010. The build-up to the wedding and the occasion itself attracted much media attention, with the service being broadcast live around the world, and being compared and contrasted in many ways with the 1981 marriage of William's parents, Charles, Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. Much of the attention focused on Kate Middleton's status as a commoner (i.e. not a part of the aristocracy) marrying into royalty.
