The now closed (New) Roxy Disco, Arundel Gate, Sheffield, UK by Karl.
This is one part of the EPIC Building comprising car park, cinema, shops and access between two levels of the city centre. After closing as a disco, the Roxy became a temporary home for St. Thomas' Church and is now empty again after they moved on to Philadelphia (Sheffield!).
Roxy is my independent girl, she grew up an orphan and learned to survive on her own on such an early age. she's happy-go-lucky and always cheery.
Nuestra querida ROXY nació en nuestro refugio. Su madre nos dejó cinco bonitos presentes y Roxy estaba entre ellos.
Es una gata que le gusta que la mimen, que pide caricias y juega mientras lame la mano en forma de agradecimiento.
Se lleva bien con otros gatos y es muy tranquila.
Todos sus hermanitos están ya en hogares con familias, pero ella sigue aquí, esperando su día.
Tiene una carita que da ganas de comérsela y sus manchitas de colores, elegidas al azar la hacen aún más hermosa.
Roxy no ha tenido suerte hasta ahora porque es ese tipo de gata que no gusta, pero sólo quien la conoce sabe verdaderamente lo que se pierde al no tenerla cerca. Roxy es una preciosa gata, por dentro y por fuera.

ROXY is a very endearing, approximately 3 year old Boxer/Pit mix who’s affectionate, gentle and playful. She loves to be petted, especially if she can lie with her head in your lap! She pays attention nicely for food treats, and already knows “sit”. She likes polite dogs, and would be best matched with a low-key male, or she would be happy as an only dog.
Roxy is looking for a kind, low-stress home to call her own :-)
Roxy lives in Kennel 4.

Okay, I first met Roxy at Caleb's birthday party, but just briefly. So, when Schmee brought her out for a walk on the Montour Trail, I thought it would be a good idea to offer her my hand in good faith to sniff and re-introduce ourselves. Roxy contemplated my hand briefly, then snapped her jaws shut, engulfing my entire hand. She didn't hurt me or draw blood, so I thought this must be some misunderstanding of some sort and like an idiot, offered her my hand again. Again, she scarfed it up like hamburger. However, since she did not harm me, I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt that it must be some sort of deep dog tribute that I am as of yet unaware of.

We visited the Roxy/NoD Space on two nights, once for some minimal electronic music with a bunch of apparent high school students, and once for Art's Birthday 2007, an evening of experimental radio remix sound art honoring 100 years of radio. Listen (mp3) and view (quicktime).

On November 12, 2012 Roxy Hudson came to live with John, Mhegs and Chopper. Roxy was probably less then 3 months old when she was found on a street corner in San Jose CA, just a tiny scrap of baby frightened Chihuahua weighing in at less than 1.5 pounds. Fortunately she was saved from euthanasia by the wonderful Marthina McClay of Our Pack INC, Pit Bull Rescue ( ourpack.org/ ) who posted her photo on Facebook in an urgent call for a Foster.....the rest is history.
1 year on Roxy is a lively & active big girl who weighs 3 pounds, with a whole lot of love in a tiny body. Thank you Marthina for all your time and effort in placing Roxy with us.
