My family adopted Roxy when she was only a few weeks old. She was tiny, energetic, and begged for attention. She may have grown up, but she still loves to get attention. In this portrait of her, she has her head perched on top of one of her favorite toys. We had been playing with the same toy until she got tired. That is expected because she is almost eight! When she is tired she always goes to the back of our couch, so of course that’s where she ran. There are many times when I see her cuddling with a toy or laying down like this, but she always moves or runs away. She finally stayed posed and let me get the shot. She’s adorable and fuzzy, and without her in my life I don’t know what I would do.

Roxy is a bar in Buffalo, NY which every Thursday night the girls dance on the bars (kinda like coyotye ugly). This is one of the Roxy girls.
Roxy is one hot lamp, while her shade shows waves of grass blowing, her base is burning hot with metallic acrylic, and faux marble, along with gold and copper leaf.

It was a long day for this little girl earlier this month and, after a long walk that evening, it was just time for a rest.
This is Roxy..aka Roxstar. I adopted her from the pound today.She was removed from her owners due to neglect. She is about 40 pounds underweight. She has an appt tomorrow to be groomed as she is heavily matted. As far as fitting in... so far so good. Her and Diesel are getting along fairly well. For those who know D, you know that is a big deal, he tends to be a bit of a jerk to other dogs. WIsh us luck, I really want to give her a good home.

Out in the backyard. Roxy went to the groomer today and came back a fluffly love ball. Diesel and her played outside for a bit, and then came in. I guess it was to much excitement because after we got in the house they got into a fight. Scared me so much!. But, no one actually got bit it was more snarling and stuff. I guess this is supposed to happen so they can decide who is in charge...I dont know if my nerves can take it lol
De mooie gevel aan de Appeldijk die we nu kennen van het pand van de voormalige bioscoop is in de 20e eeuw door architect De Bie getekend.
Dit is één van de originele tekeningen (gedateerd januari 1931) van de nieuwe voorgevel van Cambrinus aan de Appeldijk, destijds restaurant / café, dans- en concertzaal. Later werd dit La Condesa (1973), het Roxy theater JT Bioscopen (2011) en Vue Cinemas NL (2015).
De bioscoop is in 2023 al gesloten, nog voor de bioscoop bij het van der Valk hotel op Oost gereed is. We hopen dat ergens de komende maanden (juli / augustus 2023) de nieuwe bioscoop open zal gaan. Wel erg jammer dat hiermee ook de bioscoopfunctie in de binnenstad verdwenen is (al doet 't Filmhuis 't Pand natuurlijk ook nog wat).
De gevel van het pand aan de Appeldijk is (zo'n 90 jaar later) voor een groot deel nog zoals hier getekend is. Gaaf toch ?!
