ROWING - ColĂ¡iste IognĂ¡id, Galway
ColĂ¡iste IognĂ¡id (St Ignatius College), Galway is a co-educational, non-fee paying secondary school. The Jesuit presence in Galway can be dated to as far back as the 1620's. An invitation in 1859 by the Bishop led to the return of the Jesuits and to the establishment of St. Ignatius College at Sea Road in 1863. St. Ignatius College continued until 1926 and was re-established as ColĂ¡iste IognĂ¡id in 1929.
