As soon as the sun is really there, the first athletes came. The rowers were coached from a motorboat. When the athletes drove off, the engine of the escort boat gave out. Luckily there was a second boat.

For those who have never heard of it Eton College is a boy's school founded in 1440 by King Henry V1 and frightfully posh don't you know:-) If you want to send your child there it will cost around £24,490 or $54,000 dollars per year - yes you read that correctly, per year!

International Rowing Crews in training for the Henley Regatta on The River Thames at Henley. Here, the Men's Eights.
Taken just past the Remenham Barrier, the first timing point on the course, 2,098 feet from the start line. It's said that the crew that's ahead here will probably win.
While Henley is in Oxfordshire, the Thames here marks the border between Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
