On 7 February the British Embassy in Budapest hosted two LGBT roundtable discussions.
As part of the First Hungarian LGBT History Month, which DHM Theresa Bubbear opened on 1 February, the discussions focused on the appearance of homosexuality in Hungarian literature in the early 20th century and the history of the Budapest Pride Festival. Over one hundred people attended the event which ended with a reception in the Embassy’s Old Banking Hall.

The Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion hosts a Media Roundtable on several U.S. Army Recruiting topics Aug. 30 at the Harrisburg Opportunity Center in Harrisburg, PA. Topics included Pinnacle recruiting, year-end recruiting numbers, unemployment and its effect on local recruiting, benefits and opportunities through the Army and Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Panel members included the ROTC Blue Mountain Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Peter Lugar, who is also the professor of military science at the Dickinson College, the Harrisburg Recruiting Company Commander Capt. Eric Sutton, the Harrisburg Recruiting Company 1st Sgt.
